Thanks, I'll give a few of those a try I suppose.
Comp is always on "Performance" settings, and I always launch from the site (although I have tried to launcher to see if it fixed the problem). I have had trouble with my antivirus shutting down games in the past, so I'll look into that one first.

keeep dc'ing getting the access denied error.... im on 2x too. this is so annoying

im a long time player since beta too, and i dont crash that much since the new update, but the previous update had crashes everytime i start the game

My disconnection problem was remedied by turning off my antivirus. It just took too much of my resources.
You can also try redownloading, restarting computer, launching off website, restarting modem/router, and setting maplestory.exe's priorities to high.
Also try setting your computer to performance mode, that might also help.
Last thing I can suggest is to run maplestory's client and its sub programs (hackshield or w/e) on a core of its own. That usually helps me with lag.

I'm having similar problems.. I am almost positive it is the game and not our computers.
