Deployed, Is it worth coming back?
Hows it going fellow basilers?
A little backround on myself, I started playing back in 05, Always had a love for MS for some reason (maybe its because i met my wife on the game when i was 11 years old.) I've never been a very good player but ive always been decent in a way. I joined the Marine Corps 2 years ago and haven't really played much since i enlisted. Im currently on deployment right now and coming home to see my wife and meet my daughter for the first time ever. I was curious, On my free time when i get back to the U.S. Would it be worth it to even attempt to come back to the game? I feel as if its almost worthless for me too because i feel like to even have a decent time on the game and go against bosses youd have to spend around a trillion mesos each item now a days. Ive always been used to the dexless sin type of equips haha. (For you oldtimers) I feel like it'd be especially difficult for a thief. Thats all i have folks. Would it even be worth my time to come back and play and even be worth a dang to do so? Thank you!
Whats your MOS? And Im more curious as to where you deployed to. I deployed last year though im Army.
Id say come back if you desire to do so. Likr yourself, im an old player from beta and have recently made the decision to come back. Maple is a game of nostalgia which is essentially what you ptpbably miss most about the game.
Im an 0331 which is a machine gunner, currently forward deployed to Australia sadly, As a grunt we dont do much at work unless were in the field training so thatd be when
Id be playing the most and at home every now and then with my wife.
If you find time, you can try. But treat the game as just another small thing, being with your family is more important.

It's not worth it. The game has changed dramatically for the last few years. Honestly from my point, you have to be willing to put in the time and funds. Unless you're interested in just chatting/making friends. I'd just spend time with your family.
Spend your BAH on something than this game.
What he said^, experiences are subjective, and it seems there is a long history and with it a lot of nostalgia and memories that might return. I think we can suggest that the quality of experiences are dropping and for the average player it might not be worth the time but who knows, it might be pleasurable enough to be worth returning for others.
I want to say no, spend time with your family, but it seems like Maplestory made up a large part of your life when you were younger. Surely that would make Maplestory a part of your identity. At that point, how different is it from a childhood best friend or the neighborhood that you grew up on as a kid? Surely Maple was there when you were having a bad day or when you had nothing to do. So yes, you should try it if you want to, but do keep in mind that Maple has become a lot more Pay to win than it has been in 2007, and that it's become more and more like a casino in disguise. So yes, go back but be careful.
save time with family not ms
Not at all worth it man. Spend quality times with your family instead, infinite times better.
Not, worth, i guess you can see what has changed, but honestly the community just got worse along with its content, go spend doing dad things with your daughter
nah dude, it's not worth. You need so much money or commitment to get anywhere decent.

Do you find the game fun? Then yes.
Do you find the game boring? Then no.
Simple.
It is worth! If would start a new character and make it burning. That gives you 2 extra level every level until 100. Then from there start bossing every day and sell potions. Soon you will have enough to buy some good clean gear.
Early marriage wow haha congratulations =P
