Call of Dutyis it really that bad

Why do people hate this game so much? I truly see no problem with it...I can read a simple article about Call of Duty without a billion Battlefield lovers bashing the series and Activision...I know it is competition, but really this is insane now! EA in my eyes has turned into a huge bully towards Activision (CoD), stating how they have had no real competition, and how they hope the game rots...simple competition...really?
I am just going to give my two cents about CoD and Battlefield fanboys:
BF Fanboy: "CoD sucks so bad, i've never played it, but I have vehicles and better graphics in Battlefield and Activision is greedy so they release the same game every year!"
My Thoughts: First of all, sure idc if you say the game sucks and crap, but please do not say it if you have never played it! Second...vehicles and graphics are THE ONLY reason you say this game sucks? That's kinda...shallow? Finally Activison is a company...and a company usually has two goals: MAKE MONEY and please their customers...and so far, that is what I have seen...
Sure they release a new CoD game every year with the same engine and gameplay, BUT THAT IS WHAT HAS MADE COD SO SUCCESSFUL! Honestly, the gameplay in CoD is pretty easy and "newbie friendly"...you'll die alot in the beginning, but it does not really take long for you to get the hang of the gameplay!My friend, who has been playing CoD since the PS2 Days (not long, but way longer than me), brought over CoD:MW one night and we played all night, at first he was thrashing me, but when I got the controls down in around 45 minutes, he was the one taking the beatings, not a hard game to play competitively and an amazing casual game! Might I add that this was in March of this year and before that, I NEVER played a FPS game before March of this year...Activision has simply found a good formula that WORKS! And they are adding alot of more features in MW3! More game modes, revamped killstreak and perk systems, new weapons, new perks/killstreaks, revamped mechanics (nerfed explosions, knife range much shorter, so far that is all I know), and Call of Duty Elite!
Elite...soo much drama with this too..."ONLY STUPID COD FANBOYS WILL GET THE SERVICE! HAHA YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EXTRA STUFF! NOOB!"...Elite is $50 or $60 a year? And you get all of the DLC for the year included in that, more spaces to save videos, gameplay strategy videos, etc...also it acts like a stat site, but you know the true beauty of it is? What people seem to overlook? IT IS NOT MANDATORY TO HAVE! AND IT IS ACTUALLY A FREE SERVICE TO EVERYONE, BUT YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF GETTING A PREMIUM ELITE SERVICE...(Hint: The key word is OPTION!)
While I may seemed biased, Battlefield looks great and solid as a game, I refuse to bash a game especially since I have not played it much...just this hate for CoD is outrageous to me...

Psh COD and BF both suck, it's all about the new Counter strike.
Black Ops turned me off so much with all the nerfing they did =.=
And them not fixing some glitches but tbh I just hate Treyarch really crap company.Cod games themselves aren't bad unless they're probably a Treyarch "masterpiece"

@CrownedSorrow: i got a chance to play the demo, it feels like any other battlefield game, not that thats an insult to the game. It's definetly a new game just like how mw2 and mw3 are different games contrary to what everyone has to say about it.

I feel like it depends more on the genre than the platform. For example, I've seen less whiny RTS players than I do FPS players

I love/hate CoD. I rage extremely hard every time I play due to the terrible hit detection (on black ops for xbox) and end up turning the game off to avoid breaking something lol.

Again, it feels like Crysis 2 with a very different gunplay feel. The rounds on any weapons feels not as consistent compared to other games; it's mostly prevalent amongst the semi-automatic weapons, though.
And you have to hold the right button to keep sights, there will probably an option to change that during full release, though.

Not really, you have more than enough transport vehicles in the form of jeeps ands humvees and armored personnel carriers and helicopters to get around the map, not to mention most of the action will happen around the flag points.
BF is slow it has to big of maps so it makes it even more slow. In CoD we know what to expect in BF you could get the worst game in history. Just because in trailers BF3 looks good 90% of the time your going to be walking around looking for people.

BF3 feels a lot more like Crysis 2 (but a lot more campy and less OMGSUPERPOWEREDBULLETPROOFSUIT) than Bad Company 2 if you think it's going to feel like BC2.

Rarely any haters. I don't know anyone who has picked up a Pokemon game disliked it.

Well, they kinda are completely different. BF3 is a sequel to BF2, not Bad Company 2.
huehuehue if anyone says mw3 is the same as mw2 and bfbc2 and bf3 are COMPLETELY different then well you're dumb.
bf3 has a diff engine and planes thats about it, with a little revamp here or there.

I play Battlefield on the PC. It's slow.
i'm just tried of the always cod players that are now going "lolol bf3 is going to be aw3s0m31!1!One!1!11eon!" when they have never played bfbc2, and they are going to be madly disappointed.
don't get me wrong, bf3 will be great, but only to the bf players, otherwise cod will still run the world.

Battlefield doesn't take that much skill either, it just relies more heavily on group communication and situational awareness (be it verbal or nonverbal) when compared to CoD.

Because Battlelog does the exact same thing, just without the DLC stuff, and outside of expansions like Back to Karkand which will be kept separate from the core game, DICE said they'll try as hard as possible to continue to provide free map packs for the core game on PC like they did with the VIP Map Pack 7 for BFBC2, eliminating the need the need to buy much of the extra maps outside of the separate expansions in the first place? o_O
And because people like to bash what's In, and CoD is current In.

it's funny cause half the battlefield fans now are hyped up angry cod kids who switched over because of the hype for it.
i like both but i prefer battlefield, hate to say it but it does take more game sense than cod.
CoD isn't a good game but I'll still play it.
