Pizza Delivery Rage - Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi guys! I have a funny little story that maybe some of you can relate to.

To start out, I am a pizza lover, plain and simple. I LOVE PIZZA; however most of the time I am at home when I am not at school, with no vehicle, soo pizza delivery would be a HUGE time saver for me instead of having to wait for my mom to get home from work late in the evening. I have never really thought about it much, because we usually have mom pick up our order when she leaves work. So today I decided that I will try to order a pizza and have it delivered to my house.

First, I try online order. I input my address and ZIP code, but when I look at the FOUR Pizza hut locations less than 5 miles away from my house, none of them deliver. So I check the two Dominos locations and the two PaPa Johns locations also less than 5 miles away from my house, but still none of them deliver.

Next, I called the locations, one by one, and each time I got the generic: "We just do not deliver to that area." answer from the person.

Personally, I do not understand why these places will not deliver to my house. As far as I know there have been no major crimes or incidents happen in my neighborhood. While it is not perfect, nothing major happens here. For those wondering, I live in a small suburban neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi (That is all the information I am willing to give out on a forum lmao!)

Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, is there any way to convince them to deliver to my neighborhood? o.o

5 miles is pretty far...

The Dominos is 2.5 miles away from me and it's a pretty far walk... (like maybe 3 hours if I tried)

and I feel bad since I give like a dollar tip since I can never find extra cash.

Lol, so much for a pizza! I don't have a similar story, but I have 2 stories to tell you about pizza! There was that time both me and my dad were out to work/school. As we arrived home at the end of the day (around 6 PM) we start making dinner, it's only 2 of us. Then someone is knocking at our door. As we open the door, we see it's a deliver man from a Pizzaria which is located out of our town. But none of us had ordered any meal from restaurant. So we tell him there must be a mistake as we didn't order anything, then the guy leave. So we go on and continue cooking, and another person knock at our door. It's another delivery guy from a different restaurant bringing us food we didn't ordered! So we explain the same thing to him. I guess someone tried to prank us. Sadly, we can't order anymore from those restaurant because they put us on the blacklist for order we did not pay (even if we didn't even ordered those in the first place!)

Another story, we had a party at my aunt place and this time we DID ordered like 3 X-Large pizza. So has the delivery guy arrive, we take our order, pay the guy and procceed to open the box and eat. Then we notice there is a poutine that was delivered to us. Curious, my aunt check the bills and notice she didn't ordered that poutine and didn't pay for it either. So she thought it was a special offer from the restaurant that was giving a free poutine for ordering that much pizza! So I opened it and started to eat the poutine, thinking it was allright. Then when there was almost nothing left from the poutine, the deliver guy come back and question us if we had it, and we said we did and we ate it. Then the deliver guy said it was a mistake, that this poutine was from a different order and mixed the bills so that we had to give it back or pay for it. Then the boyfriend of my aunt had to argue with him that it wasn't his fault if the deliver guy made a mistake and that he's not gonna pay for it as he thought it was a free offer. He then decided to pay the guy anyway and yelled at him he would make a complain to his boss. As the deliver guy heard that, he came back and refunded my aunt's boyfriend. I felt so bad since I was the one who took it and ate it!

lol I can cook
It is one of my hobbies, but sometimes I just do not feel like cooking, mainly when I am doing homework, studying, or doing random chores.

Make your own pizza. It's easier and cheaper.

Less than 5 miles away, huh? That's lame... Try offering an extra 5 dollars for delivery fee if you don't mind to; at least that's what I'd do

Or like someone said, just bike or something.

they only deliver i believe a mile or 2 away from the store
just due to fact that they need to get gas and profit from it
