The quot2xquot Cubing Event - Its not 2x guys
Keep in mind that no where in the information for the cubing event does it say your chances are "2x". I wanted to dispel the other misleading thread that said this event gives 2x chances.
Also, I just wanted all of you to keep this stuff in mind when buying cubes:
1. The normal % chances of increasing potential by the different cubes is unknown - therefore people have no idea what their odds are, and become willing to pay until it works. It's essentially gambling, and they introduce it to many younger-aged children.
2. This event promises increased chances, yet players have no idea what these increased chances are. This topic's name is extremely misleading because players have no idea whether or not the increase is even near "2x". For all we know it could be a 1.1x increase and Nexon is luring players in with much more promising-sounding propaganda.
3. The very least Nexon could do to let players know how much their chances are increasing is to simply cut down the price of the cubes for this event. Therefore if cubes now cost half as much, you know with 100% certainty that for the same cost, your chances will double. Instead, they keep the stats blind and raise the chances by an unknown factor. This adds to the gambling and "I need to cube as much as I can right now" mindset.
4. The fact that Nexon crafted this event with full knowledge of the above three points that I mentioned, which is why - in my opinion - this event is disgusting.
