How much range would you need with a NW to train efficiently at sdh? They always seem good mobbers to me but i've never played them at 4th job and I don't really pay attention to their damage.
At or above 2m2m probably, I don't know the exact range because mine was at like 5.5m-6m, but you can probably calculate it with the skill dmg. Your sparks and bats would need to be doing over 21m / line to 1hko in SDH.
If the NW has enough dmg to 1hko SDH mobs with Spark or Bats then the mobbing at SDH is actually amazing.
Overall though what I said is still the case, nerf non-withstanding. NW's are better bossers, NL's are better mobbers.

- Amazing in 1 vs 1 situations, especially when you jump attack. However NW does get nerfed but still 1.3x better if you jump attack then Nightlord. - Great mobility, can upward jump, double jump and move backwards (however with a 5 second cooldown) - Nice resistance to elements and status but this also gets nerfed
* Mobbing is horrible compared to Nightlord * Gets nerf in a future patch
Nightlord
- Easier to play, jump attack makes no sense for them so you dont need to constantly press jump while attacking to maximise DPS. - One of the best mobbing classes, (remember when NL mobbing were so bad). Showdown has a high range, combined with Night Lord's Mark, gives you one of the best mobbing class to date - Great training class, using showdown, combined with hypers, each time you train you will get 1.4x more exp. (However gets nerfed to 20% [with hyper] later)
* bossing capability isnt as good as nightwalker * mobility isnt as great as nightwalker. We do have a sort of upward jump in the future with a dumb 5 second cooldown though.
I'm doing 24m damage with spark at 1.3~1.6m clean range, but I have about 51% attack.

Since googling is too hard. Lord have mercy, forgive my sins.

NW bossing, NL mobbing.
night walker faster due to jump attack, night lord is basic and well rounded.
