Hair Dying loss

Any Basilers here experienced hair loss (like a chunk of hair) after dying their hair? And does it grow back in that specific area? Feel free to read the story below if you want some backhand information.

Today I decided to dye my hair for the first time, everything was ok until my hair stylist was doing the finishing touches on my hair, she was rubbing my hairline and all of a sudden I hear a rip, but I didn't make much of it since I was on my phone and ignored it (big mistake). So when my hairstylist washes my hair and dries it, I take a look in the mirror and I see that there's a semicircle in my hairline (my hairline was originally straight), which resulted from the hairstylist ripping a small chunk of my hair out, I was hush hush about it since I didn't want to make them feel as if I was a whiny customer.

Any help is much appreciated. I feel like calling them but I have no clue what to even say...

Definitely not normal, this has never happened to me, the hairstylist probably knew she did something wrong, yet she chose not to tell you. I suggest calling them or going to them personally in order to find some sort of compensation.

No that is not normal. Were you having your hair lightened (because thats what it sounds like)? Your stylist over processed your hair which weakened the bonds which lead to it breaking. Be careful with your hair now when it is wet because it is so weak it will probably break again. Don't brush it or comb it wet and be careful when drying it with a towel. Oh and yes it will grow back and you should've spoken up.

If you choose to call them say something along the lines of "my stylist over processed my hair to the point where it is breaking off in chunks"

sue your hairdresser for emotional distress and permanent physical damage to your scalp/potential dates lost.
