MMs Post Tempest worth making?

I've always been an MM fan, though I recently got to 4th job on my BM and was a little disappointed to say the least.

Are MMs worth making post tempest and do they require a lot of funding to hit decently well so that you can solo the easier stuff without too much hassle (by this I mean levelling in general and the lower tier bosses like pap and left pianus for ex., nothing serious).

Technically we beat bowmasters in every damage situation except if the bowmaster hits about 800k minimum with hurri/AFA.
As far as fun I truly love my Marksman and his play style. We are great bossers, have an amazing party buff, amazing mobbing(one of the best in game), and we're a rare class that does impressive damage.

Although there are more of us now I remember when people would ask me when the marksman class came out thinking it was new or "no way you can hit 950k+ at 12X"
lol

Pretty fun, totally worth it. Also makes you feel special being one of the only marksmen you see.

Like the others have said, MM's are always worth making.

MM's are pretty decent bossers, and don't need freakishly high ranges to do it. Snipe helps a lot with that.

I can solo most low-midranged bosses with ease (and i'm not talking about area bosses). Even Zak goes down quite easily at lvl 168 (~40 min) and i have a crappy 25k range with buffs (when highly funded chars my level get 80k+)

They're very cheap to fund as well. Our books are plentiful and cheap, and while Wild Hunters jacked up a bit the price of xbows, it wasn't as much, so getting a good xbow should be cheaper than, let's say, a 2h sword. Our armors are also the cheapest (Empress armors in bello for bowmen are 15-20m, and other jobs are like 60-80m each)
I got another question, is it worth making a marksman if you already have a bowmaster? Is their playstyle really different?

Thanks
They feel different in 3rd job and even more in 4th job. As i feel weird playing my friend's BM, he also feels weird playing my MM. But both chars are fun, and as long as you use tradeable armors, all you need to get is a good xbow.

Marksmen are actually considered to be a unfunded-friendly class, as their main attacking skills have high damages per hit that hit the damage cap with lowish amounts of funding. Snipe helps Marksmen boss without good equips and Pierce is insane mobbing damage for training.

As with the above, MMs are always worth it.

If you were unimpressed with BMs I don't know that you will particularly enjoy MMs. Neither has low level 4th job bossing abilities of other classes. They shine much brighter late game.

It would help if you told us a little about what type of characters you do like.

MMs are always worth it, in my biased, limited opinion
their variety of moves makes playing fun and their rareness just adds to the flavor
tbh, they are not too strong with small funding though
after hypers? That longshot skill looks pretty sexy
