Good lord... I'll explain it. Scroll protection is called a Ward/Protection scroll because it stops a scroll from destroying your item. It would be used with AEEs/EEs to protect a item from disappearing due to a failure. Scroll protection is a guardian scroll. Guardian scrolls protect your scroll; be it a Unique pot scroll or No boom AEE or etc from disappearing after it fails. ( the scroll will always disappear if it passes). You can use both. You can use any combination of scrolls except the return scroll and safety scrolls. You could put a lucky day scroll + Protection scroll (ward) + Guardian scroll+ Safety scroll (new verson of the White scroll) all at once if you wish, all effects will be used on the next scroll you use on that item. I know this for fact, my proof is the 330 attack dagger that is currently on the main page of basil, screens section.

They stack. I went Protection Scroll then added a Safety Scroll right after. Never tried it the other way around because Shield Scrolls were on other mules and main characters were the one who gathered coins + max diligence. Do realize that even then I failed 3-5 times using that combo and my stuff was intact.
I finished my claw with Proc+Safety.

Thats funny cause I just scrolled my bow using protection scrolls and shield scrolls and they didn't lose any slots when the scroll failed and it sure didn't explode either.

I used a protection scroll from the anniversary shop and a guardian scroll guys. Either way i risked it if it doesn't stack but it worked so yay Thanks guys

they do stack u can use a protection scroll a shield scroll guardian scroll etc

it all stacks.
Mule #1 used protection scroll to prevent destrustion.
Transferred to mule #2,
Mule #2 used Shield Scroll to avoid getting the slot decreased by failed scroll.
Transferred to my main,
Used a scroll that may destroy the equip - and it failed - thus the equip remained as if it was never touched.
