Fever Time

With fever time right around the corner i had some questions.
Does diligence work when spell tracing?
As well as to how many css on average would it take to perfect a weapon (fafnir) with 15%(25% on fever time) spell traces.
I've been getting mixed answers from what i've heard.

@eonangel:
I disproved that.
The GM was obviously wrong.

http://www.basilmarket.com/Diligence-and-Spell-Trace-Experiments-Thread-b5JWB

I showed the near statistical impossibility of diligence having no affect on spell traces in this thread.
(I imagine the wall of text isn't appealing to read, but that's basically the conclusion).

The GM is either:
1) lying
2) mistaken
3) referring specifically to slate/innocence options
4) mistakenly saying it doesn't affect ALL traces because of miscommunication on point 3

The lucky day scroll thing is likely a "we don't know" and not a "we know, but can't tell you."

'Fever Time will take place every Sunday for 24 hours. During this time, the success rate of all Scroll Trace scrolls will be increased. (5% to 10% / 15% to 30% / 30% to 45% / 70% to 95% / 100% to no change)

This success rate boost will also apply to Innocent Scrolls and Clean Slate Scrolls created using Scroll Traces.'

so on fever time: css 5% increases to 10%, and inno 30% increases to 45%. that was in the kms update tho, does this apply for gms? cus it doesnt mention anything about it on the fever post on the main website (since they probably just copy&pasted it from previous fever times)

@littletlk Did you see mybuliets' post though? The GM said that diligence doesn't affect traces. The fact that the GM wasn't allowed to disclose info about lucky day scrolls means that it wasn't just some random guess about the traces either. Also, multiple basilers claim that they have failed 70% traces during fever time. My orangemushroom source was just a backup to my claim and I would think translated kms notes would be more reliable than any from gms.

@eonangel:

Slates, Innocence, EE, Potential, and Chaos scrolls have always been considered "special" scrolls and were excluded from the affects of diligence. This tidbit does not prove or even supply evidence that traces aren't affected by diligence.

@vicetone: Long ago there was a thread about how Diligence did affect spell trace, but now people are debating that it doesn't affect it. Some other guy even has a SS with a GM stating that indeed Diligence does not work with spell traces. But then again, we get new GM's every month that still don't know what game MapleStory is.

@genostigma: yeah that did confuse me a bit. Are you trying to tell me that it wont work with the "scrolls" that give attack on a wep?

@vicetone https://orangemushroom.net/2015/12/21/kms-ver-1-2-250-heroes-of-maple-blaster/

"Note that if you use Scroll Traces for these two types of scrolls, they will not receive the effects of your Craft level, guild skills, or Lucky Day Scrolls. However, they will receive the effects of Scroll Trace Fever Times."

I believe the same goes for spell tracing upgrade slots.

MapleStory Scrolling Calculator

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dIc04meelT8j1gIs1PI3ghMy66QWvULiNafeKC3gglg

It takes 562 CSS 10% to scroll a 10 slot Fafnir with 15% Spell Trace scrolls and 300 with 25%.

I believe some official KMS guide stated that diligence does affect Spell Traces.

@vicetone: Your diligence does not affect traces but it does affect the SCROLLS that traces give. Meaning that yes, Diligence does work with the SCROLLS from the spell trace window. Did I just confuse you?

@imposing: yeah i understand this, but i read in a few places that spell traces were not considered scrolls, so they don't work along with diligence. I was wondering if this was true or not.

Diligence and fever time affects regular types of scrolls e.g. using spell traces to add weapon attack to your weapon. However, diligence and fever time does not affect special scrolls e.g. clean slates and epic pot scrolls
