Hayato

In your opinion, Aran/Hayato

I posted this in the general section but I expect it to die soon but I leave it here primarily because it makes a lot more sense to post here than the Aran section. A lot of you I'm sure have played Arans before or seen their skill concepts.

In your opinion though, between the both of these classes which of these two classes do you personally find yourself fun?

Damage doesn't mean nothing. Bossing doesn't mean anything either. I'm talking about pure grinding and straight out comboing moves together.

Thanks!

@Vigorous: Not too much actually, a Familiar that regens MP can keep you topped up, and one of their passives gives you a chance to recover some HP on attack. The higher you go the less helpful that is obviously, but it's still a fair way.

@DarkQuill Thanks a lot, I hear they are a huge pot drain, is this true?

@Rokani Honestly Battle Mages only final blow and BKB as their primary skills but sure they have others, what confuses me is why you think that for them when it's rather similar to spamming like Arans skills (in a way). Or maybe it's all your personal preference haha. But definitely give them a shot. They are worth it.

@Vigorous: Guess I just think that mages should have tons of skills to use, yea not really sure I haven't played one since they came out so I should probably retry it

@Vigorous: In a way, yeah. Survivability is tied in to which skills you use in what situation, so if you're good enough you'll bump into very little problems.

@Rokani: That seems like a lot of reasons to love your class. I'm just hoping that what you say might come out to be true. I want them to fix it and make it like that. You're right, the concept should still be there for us Why remove it! Aran's definitely need some rework on their survivability. I mean they have OP draining abilities but still our defenses are a little underwhelming

Just wondering, you confused me when you said Battle mage fails as it is more or less 2-3 button attacks. What do you mean by that exactly? But I totally understand what you mean Thanks for your post

@DarkQuill I assume by fragile you mean that they are high risk with low survivability yes?

@Feeling Ah thank you for your own personal opinion as well. I guess that's your personal preference haha but that's good to hear from someone who has played both as well
I personally agree. I love Combat step myself it makes it fun to use on an Aran and I can't wait to see what we have in SEED too
But I'm just hoping that they will give them a good revamp or overaul coming up and make OS+FB+BB what it was again. But I'm glad to hear you enjoy your Aran as well. Keep it up all of you Arans out there!

I've gotta say, flying around on Hayato is extremely fun. Once you get the moves down, Hayato is great. Sanrenzan is the only thing I'm not a huge fan of, though.
Even though all the mobile moves are fun, I find myself using mainly Sanrenzan during real situations, which is usually what makes gets me bored.

The thing I like the most about Aran would probably have to be Combat Step. It's really fun gliding around, and once you master the CS+jump technique it's awesomely fast.
In the middle of your jump after CS, cast a FB, and you're now a flying bear cannonball. :D (sort of...)
The FB+BB animation is also something I've come to love. Sadly, OS spam is currently the best for bossing, even though it gets boring quickly.
A recent patch in KMS puts FB+BB ahead once again, though.
I get asked pretty often why I still play Aran.. I guess it boils down to cool skill animations, simplicity, and how attached I've become over the years.
Something about gliding around with Combat Step really gets me, and not to mention Tempest is extremely efficient (for now) for training at HoH and Warrior Grounds. @_@

Wasn't a big fan of Aran. I like them, but iunno, they seemed rather meh. That was back when they first came out though, they've gone through some pretty big changes since then.
Hayato on the other hand, I love playing. Quick, fragile, and variable. Great stuff.

I have tried both to at least 175, and I'd choose Hayato. Dankuusen is just too much fun, especially when you can spam it while Hitokiri Strike is on cooldown(mash both keys together). It reminds me of something. Hayato does have many different combinations of skills to play with.
Yeah I'm just really debating on what to do since I am eager to see how the Aran overhaul comes out.
Just wondering, what makes you enjoy your Arans playstyle?
I'm eager for the overhaul as well, but expecting nexon to try to kill Arans concept.

Anyways as for why I like the class?
Ryko, Final blow, swinging a giant polearm like its nothing, the mechanics of CS, having a support role, mobbing. Also I liked that I had to build up my attacks to do powerful attacks, this is how heavy weapons are normally meant to be used in the first place, build up momentum to cause devastating damage. However with nexon cutting the combo down and making it so its not overwhelmingly powerful near the end kinda ruined that part. (By overwhelmingly powerful I mean that OS, or whatever the main attack is, should far make up for the weaker beginning strikes, the next update should fix this but we still don't have our nice long combos, and nice long combos should = great risk and greater rewards not 'your dead and your damage still sucks'). But yea maybe I just keep at it hoping for our original play style back? Survivability is also nice, Low HP can be a problem but with drain its pretty nice.
I generally like warriors, I really like mage/warrior hybrids but Battle mage fails as its more or less 2-3 button attacks, also I can't stand attacks like PB,Giga, or anything of that nature. I like that I can use all my attacks with just the attack key and arrow keys, I dislike having tons of keys to keep track of, also I like that older job skills still have a use and that, if needed, I can stop attacking pretty fast, so long as you don't just mash keys you can stop pretty fast.
I need to make a hayato, seems like everyone loves the class and I hated Aran
Definitely try one. I made one It's been fun so far.
But be prepared I hear they have a horrid 4th job and terrible glitched in 4th job which still need fixing
Well seeing that Nexon is trying to kill the comboing idea with Aran and since they both grind well go with Hayato. Also putting it in either Aran or Hayato thread wouldn't get you biased opinions no not at all, and whats wrong with the Aran section?
Nothing is wrong with the Aran section it would just seem to make more sense to put in Hayato since they were released at a later date. They were 2013 right? Arans were like 2010 or something, so maybe there have been Arans who've only play Arans throughout the whole way through.
But the main reason is because Hayato came after all of them. People might have played Arans before that so yeah xD

Hayato is more fun, until 4th job. In my opinion Sengoku have the worst 4th job out there.

Hayato is more fun. Aran is just final blow spam, and mashing the attack key.
