Band camp or no?
So, i'm gonna be a freshman next year, and I dunno if I should join marching band or no. Q_Q
i was googling if i should join. Some people said it was the best time of their life, and some said it was hell for them. I'm like, anti social-ish, and i'm afraid i'm gonna be a loner lulz. Honestly, I do want to join, but I'm afraid I might be like, screw this, and then drop out. $375 down the drain. >.>
I need to have a decision by July 1st.
Thanks in advance, guys. c:
Also, any piccolo owners out there? i need help picking a decent piccolo. o_o

@Reasonable: i play in lots of orchestras
my school one is just string, but I play in an outside symphonic orchestra. so yes, I do see piccolo people
oh, and I play the cello o:
Do it, fellow music kid! I'm in the regional arts program at my school for piano, and it's fun times.
@Vinathi : go for it! There're only 2 piccolos in my marching band. If you have a passion, do it!
@ChildCrusade : that is not true, my friend.
I know I'm joking
I know a bunch of people in band. most of them are cool, the others, ehhhh
but what can i say, I'm in orchestra
band=anti-social people who be social with each other
YOU'LL FIT RIGHT IN
@Reasonable:
I did play the piccolo this year for marching and concert, and I really enjoyed playing it. To be honest, I prefer playing the piccolo than the flute now.
Yeah, you should definitely join marching band. It's a great way to make a bunch of friends right as you get into high school, especially if you're a shy person.
@Recruit:
I already own a flute.
I suggest you go because you get the chance to see saxophonists. They are so hot.

You should probably invest money in a flute instead of a piccolo.
totally! it's going to be like american pie
This one time...at band camp...
Yes, you'll benefit from it! I'm going to 9th grade next year as well and sadly I can't take the camp because I'm going to Korea.. But I would if I wasn't going!
Bassoonists ftw!
Aw, that sucks. We could have been online marching band buddies?
What kind of benefits are there for joining? I kind of thought that i'd be exercising at least.
