Buccaneer

Buccaneer Lore

What makes you a buccaneer? Ode to those days, when we were untouchable, literally. We were the brutes of the sea, and did not sling energy around. We anchored opponents in and unleashed the fury of our punches. This is why we exist and nothing more.Let your dragon's roar and let them soar, pummel them from below and give the enemies more, it is without bore that we will ram them through the door, thus releasing the unsightly gore and taking the damage to the core. Cheers to the sky and the floor, but do not forget our lore that you're a pirate-brawling, scum-loving, barrel-hiding sea whore.

From your fellow Buccaneer,
RyuStryx (Dragon Strikes)

If buccs were still like the original version, but only did 1 dmg, I'd play it.

Lets start a petition to go back to the original skills and send it to nexon where they will value our opinion.
Yes! I recently came back to MS and started playing my Bucc because I remember really enjoying the play-style and just the title of being one, but I was saddened to hear that our class has been pretty "manhandled" by some sort of revamp in the past(?) My only problem is that I'm not really funded so I feel a little "behind" but overall the class is really fun.
Anyone who calls themselves a buccaneer is one of the most overpowered players in the game because it mears they are willing to stick with a class that has and will be taking countless nerfs and still have the spirit to move forward. We even have a hero who literally is forgotten by half the maple cast that still gets more attention than us. We are worse than hero before they get raging blow. We as an endangered species have the will to shine our fists at nexon and keep moving forward.

Ok now that the anime quote phase is over, lets get real. Our Cygnus counterparts are supposed to chain skills or something? Buccs do that, but better. So what if shade outclasses us in all damage aspects? We are like twice as fun as he is. And also, the sense of freedom and thrill you get while training as bucc as unmatched. We generally train by altering between two stages every 5 minutes. The first stage is where you use 4 different attacks to rush across the map flashy and fancy. The second stage, we fire our Lazer farther than the screen can even display. We unforbately can't see the top of the screen however because the multikill icon rarely goes away. We can literally watch our experience bar rise a bit when we fire the lazer. Sure we may not be so op that the game gets boring like some of the other classes but the fun factor you get from being a bucc is unmatched l.

@artzomg if you're looking at mobbing, Buccaneers are one of the classes that can do damage well without resorting to a massive amount of funding. For the most part, you'll do well enough with Double Spiral into Dragon Strike until you get charged enough to blow mobs into oblivion with Buccaneer Blast. And that's more or less what you'll be doing until you can boss, at which point... well, it's hard to boss lol.

But Buccaneers are now more or less just overcharged Energizer Bunnies. I hate their new animations and it makes me want to cry. But Dragon Strike...
DRAGON STRIKE!

As a buccaneer, your girlfriend/boyfriend is the sea. Trust that each wave will carry you in an adventurous direction.

-Soon to be buccaneer

@Tricks122 I have had the honor to fight along your side before. You and @Inkyoshi are awesome Windian Buccaneers, more of which have inspired me to play my Buccaneer exclusively. You for your smart gameplay and average range damage, and Josh (Ink Yoshi) for his style and his amazing damage output. Fell in love with Buccaneers for their dragons and their in-your-face fighting style.

We aren't the strongest, but that doesn't matter.

Cheers.

Meanwhile, while everyone's talking about drinking, I don't drink and I'm still a Buccaneer.

We come from all walks of life. Despite being drug through the mud by Nexon with every update, we've held on and brawled our way across the world in a way that we can be damn proud of. I've done the Thief room at Ludibrium PQ before without dying, I've knocked down Pianus with my bare hands and I spent two hours on two separate runs, before our revamp, to solo Bodyguard A, Bodyguard B, Grandpa Boss and Krexel, just to say I did. I've fought through Crimsonwood Keep with friends, gotten dubbed a Quest Specialist because I could, I passed my Dragon Strike 20's when they were 250m a piece and a 70% success rate. I'm old as salt and I've got more memories than I can count with my Buccaneer.

Best of all, I've had the chance to fight with the best Buccaneers around, both in and out of game. I'm beyond the whole age of pride in a class, no class in inherently better than another in anything but damage and other arbitrary statistics.

But I'd never give up my Buccaneer and the memories it has for any of that trash.

Not even the harsh tides of the high seas can put out a Buccaneer's blaze...

Only Whiskey can do that~

Anyone can be a buccaneer if they want, you just have to get drunk enough.

This is amazing. I have a 140 Bucc who was retired due to the rather unpleasant changes to the job.

I remember I made a Bucc just for that Dragon Strikes skill.
