How does one quit?

This game is legitimately like a drug. I literally CANNOT seem to quit. I'm not even that hardcore of a player, I have made dozens and dozens of character but never got past ~155 ish.

How do I quit? When I uninstall it I just can't stop myself from reinstalling it in a few days. What can I do?

when you get bored of the game.

it doesn't take long when other things in life get in the way and you decide to prioritize those tasks, which deter you from playing.

it's only a matter of time

Easy way to quit this game:

1-Go to the Maplestory website
2-Log into your account
3-Click on account info.
4-Select the withdraw option
5-Confirm on the email associated to the account that you really want to withdraw your account.
6-If you have more than 1 account, do steps 2 to 5 with every account you have.
7-Enjoy.

@assasin474: nexon announces Nerve Gear, featuring only their games.
And truthfully, how much money would you drop on a nerve gear? Like I would spend a couple grand for that

Once you train past 155 you'll get worn out and quit.

Step 1: Have some self-control/restraint
Step 2: Quit.

It's as easy as that.

Lol I was in your exact same position a couple years ago. No matter what I did in my daily life, I HAD to include Maple. Eventually I got bored and quit. Yesterday I tried to come back and I only played for about 2 hours until I uninstalled it again. The constant grind gets boring after a while. Now I won't have to worry about it anymore because school starts tomorrow, and I am also trying to look for a part-time job while studying, so this should keep me occupied. Honestly, the reason you haven't got your characters higher than level 155 is because you are getting bored of the grind. And then, you make new character after new character because each character has a different play style, which keeps you hooked on the game. Eventually, I think you will grow out of it. There comes a point in life where video games (particularly games that are designed for kids, such as Maplestory) become a thing of the past.
One cannot simply quit maplestory. Its like that game in Spk Kids 3 where the children coulnt put it down
or like SAO in the first season.
Once your nerve gear is on, its got you until youre lv 250 and super op
One day we're all going to get trapped in maple like they did in SAO and the only way out is gonna be to buy 1mil NX.

If you enjoy it still and it's not severely hindering you from doing other things then I see no reason for you to quit. If you find another hobby that you like more then you'll end up spend less time on Maple naturally.
And if you truly want to quit then you'll probably quit by either deleting your account, getting yourself banned, or simply uninstalling and not touching it again. And stay away from nostalgia videos/screenshots if that's what draws you back in.
