General

Warrior

Hero or Paladin?

Now that RED has bit, I've decided to come back from a break. Now I'm trying to decide which warrior path to go, Fighter or Page. I don't really want to spend the meso to change, so hopefully I can choose right the first time. Can anyone do some kind of analysis for me? Fun, training, etc. Thanks!

I have both classes at lv 200.

Personally, Heroes are more of a bosser type while Paladins sustain and do moderate damage while having elemental attacks.

I have Hero, at lvl 172 and Paladin at 173, both are fun. I liked Hero more, because it's fun, and it never gets old. I'm planning on getting both of them to lvl 200.
Hero > Paladin > Shadower.
I believe from seeing the comparisons that Paladins are better at this time? The question is, do they get boring?
That depends on the person using it. I find Paladin fun because it makes so many bosses that you would normally avoid due to their difficulty actually plausible to defeat. Just today I faced VL and was pleasantly surprised to find that he did one damage to me when I tanked him. If you think bossing is fun, odds are you will find Paladins fun also.

Paladin:

Pros:
Best crowd control in the game.
Best survival in game.
The best supportive warrior.
Very fast power growth rate after level 100.
Best end game bosser.
Can max every skill using Combat Orders.

Cons:
Possibly the worst rushing distance in game. (Need confirmation)
Lack luster during 3rd job in terms of damage output.
Poor class design for 4th job.
Moderately complicated mechanics.

I've played a Hero for a couple of years now, but since we're getting the Free Job Advance coin in a few hours I'm going to switch to a Paladin. At this point, there are only a couple of bosses that can actually kill me (AKA Empress and Magnus), so I think that even if my damage might be a little bit weaker, not being able to die pretty much trumps everything.
But seeing as we have open job advance now, if you don't like one then just try the other. Be warned though that it's ~500m to change around level 200

I was a hero that recently switched to Paladin (at level 131), but I think i'm going to stay as Paladin. I personally enjoyed playing as the Hero more than the Paladin thus far (its been 2 days) but I think the Paladin is a stronger class in general. You won't go wrong by choosing any, and you can switch anytime, so its your choice.

*Also, if you do choose to become a Hero you will be weak from lvl 100-170. Not very Weak but Pally's and Drk will outdamage you by ALOT. However, once your past level 170 you will match their firepower, and even more.

Hero:
Simple and straightforward, Damage focused, good bosser, fire and rage theme, decent training. Overall a badass and respected class

Paladin:
More complicated, extremely buff reliant and can become frustrating, premier bossing class, unstoppable defense, good mobber, lots of pretty skill animations

Personally I'm a Paladin sort of guy. Been playing em for 2 or 3 years now and I'm in love with the defense. Kinda sad Holy Charge is no longer our main training skill but Lightning still looks pretty badass too.
But lately I started back up on my Hero at level 100 (because I didn't want to hunt for ACA pre RED) and just recently got it to 125. I gotta say it's a lot of fun. The gameplay is much simpler than DrK or Paladin as it's mostly just a rush and beat-em-up sort of class. And going from a Paladin where you have twenty thousand macros and keys and whatnot with some complicated and sometimes frustrating gameplay(though I still love it), it's nice going back to a simple class like a Hero.
