Maplestory resolution on macbook

I'm playing maplestory through bootcamp (windows 7) on a 13 inch macbook pro (intel hd 4000). It can only go up to 1024x768, which doesnt utilize the whole screen and has very wide black margins at the sides.

Any way of upping the resolution? My friends macbook (same model, lower processor) can support the highest resolution but he doesnt know why it wont work on mine.
