Well my best friend was my neighbor and we were always the only consistent members of our friend groups from 5th to 10th grade. Then we started getting different friends, because in 8th grade I had moved to a different neighborhood in town, and we've been more distant because of off periods and business. But whenever I talk to him we still seem like best friends.

My other best friend is this guy who I met in 8th grade and basically "took in" because he was a extreme loner, and we had English together in 9th grade. And we have the same messed up humor, and similar interests in things. I hung out with him in school a LOT in 11th and 12th grade, and he's the friend I talk about girls with, because we both suck with them (well, I suck slightly less but still we're both forever alone).

Also, besides my crush and some female friends, my two best friends are the only ones I'd hang out with outside of school. Probably the only ones I'll (try to) stay in contact with through college.

Whoever is my s/o at the time is always one of my best friends. Unfortunately with break ups I'm not close with them anymore. Other than that, I would say I have 2 or 3 best friends. People that I can talk to about anything, good and bad, who I can vent to about relationship problems and heartbreaks, have deep talks about life and share our worries with each other. People that I can always count on if I need a ride at 2 in the morning or if I need a place to stay.

someone who even though you dont see them for ages, can just pick up the conversation where you left off. There is never an awkward moment between you

Someone who's trustworthy and reliable. Someone you can joke about anything with. Someone who makes the most fun out of any situation, like I do. Someone who holds it down constantly.

Most importantly, someone who follows the bro code.

I don't like using the term "best friend" because I value all my friends equally, I feel more comfortable saying "good friend" or "close friend' but for convenience sake I'll play along. To me a best friend is one I can talk to about anything without being afraid of being judged, can banter with, and talk about the real stuff and feels and stuff. I've had two friends I considered best friends. We would always hang out after school, go out for coffee, share music, text all night about musicians and starting a band and girls and home problems and our future, and try to help each other out in anyway we could. Don't really talk to either of them anymore though

I don't think I've ever had a best friend except for grade 4 and 5 days, at least not that I can remember. I haven't had a best friend since then. I've lost all contacts with them since they left my elementary school. Nowadays, I make sure to add ppl to FB or Skype, or even have their emails or phone numbers. But none of them are close friends.

I've got a couple. My gf is my #1 and my best friend since 10th grade is my other best friend.

we did everything 2gther, drugs 1st time, him havin sex wit some girl while im sleepin then wake up 2 it lol, get arrested, me tellin him i play maplestory.
he never judged me, i told him abt me getting cat fished , instead of laughin he asked me if i wanted a ride 2 the cat fish girl 2 kick her ass,

he was almost like a father figure i never had, he a couple months younger than me bt a lot more mature, i guess we even each other out bc i am immature

we stopped talkin 4 almost a year bc i got tired of him, he got tired of me, i stopped talkin 2 him and screwed him over.
a month ago i saw him again bc a mutual friend set us up 2 meet again, and i thot it was gnna be awk, bt nope. we talked as if we never stopped talkin b4. it came so natural bc he has that aura tht vibe tht he is accepting n genuine, now we r hanging out again daily, n he havin a baby wit his girl soon. i will b an uncle soon

i guess tht is when u know u have a best friend.at the end of the day u both still love each other n forgive bc u both been thru 2 much together, it just cant be broken, i knew inside durin tht 1 yr period of nt talkin tht i would see him again.

Someone that gets me at an emotional, social, and intellectual level. This person could rely on me for things normal friends wouldn't, and I them. Basically the peanut butter to your jelly.

I had a best friend (or so you could say)? It was the most basic (primitive) level of the "straight girl - gay guy" paradigm. She and I had this entire argument which I'm pretty sure I started, but I don't regret it 'cause she hops from one best friend to the next in a snap of a finger. The first girl I came out to, let's call her girl "C", was a former bestie of hers; the two had quarreled quite a bit and the former had gone into depression soon after because of family and health issues. To this day, they still haven't talked despite the girl "C" having contemplating suicide at least three times in the months prior (although she conquered it, I'm really thankful for that).

[b]Moral:[/b] Some best friends don't last. Don't be upset if they don't because a true bestie is gonna stick with you till the end.

To me a best friend is-
The one person or people who you rely on and trust the most.
Someone who you can share and go through your good and bad times with.
A person who you know will always be there for you, to lend a hand in anything.
Possibly someone you could spend your whole life with other than your significant other.
The person who knows you the best.

I have one and I'm super grateful that she appeared in my life because she has pulled me through all the depressing times that have happened so far in my life

Mmm.. that would be someone that will believe in me no matter what happens, like a brother or sister. Someone I can go to without being afraid. Someone that confides in me, someone I can confide with. Someone that would rely on me when they needed help. They would be someone that knew everything there is to know about me and my life.

I don't have one. Everyone I have met have been unreliable; people that tried using me to their advantage. I don't think i'll ever have one, my luck is rotten you see.
I almost started to think that such good people don't exist. But i'm sure they're out there.

Someone that you can tell anything and love like a brother/sister, but that also is a pain in the butt and tells you when you're wrong/crazy. Yes I have one.

The person who you share your thoughts with and they do the same back. The one you hang out with the most, outside of your boyfriend/girlfriend if you have one, and rely on.
