So, I tested this, it's infinite tries, but if you used a scroll like RA that disappears

Um I didn't blow up my weapon because the chances of it blowing up was 1% but from the other zeros that i have buddied they said that it was just infinite tries. My weapon is 15 stars now and i never encountered the boom chance so i can't really confirm this.

Same as @kazzooey, hopefully some brave soul will test this out
