Too Dangerous to Maple?
:3 over the years, the hacker activity has gone from bad, to worse, to just plain ridiculous. No where or one is safe, not even the FM's anymore. And we aren't given much choice and the innocent people are catching the worse of it. From getting hacked, to getting banned for no reason. Sigh... Maple's a great game but it's just bad now. If you stay off too long, you get hacked, if you are on for a few minutes, lag, DC'd, or hacked (kill char hack, vac hack, etc.) I am just venting. Don't see Nexon helping or fixing the problem anytime soon.

I play WoW. The only form of hacking you will ever see, and it is very rare and I haven't seen it, is speed hacking.
They actually put effort into banning these people, and when people get their accounts hacked they recover all their stuff with in a few hours.
Nexon doesn't do anything. Trust me, they could do a whole lot more. But all they want is money. And seeing as it's a kid's game, it's pretty easy to collect and not give a crap about the people who play.
It's a fun game but it's slowly not worth playing anymore. If the CS goes down, instant maintenance. If a bunch of hackers are griefing people and stealing all the LHC channels etc.. lol nothing.

@chainedwind: well that, i reckon i understand, just the inflicting inconveniences on others for no reason and messing up a global/nationwide game is just wrong. botting is the most annoying kind of hacking... it's like wasp, serves no purpose but to be a pain to others. >.<
@Reflexes: It's "Run." And you can't do it. It immediately responds "there's no running from a pokemon battle"

I understand from a friend that some people enjoy figuring out ways to "break" a game, and I can understand pursuing those challenges -- but she's mostly a console gamer and all the examples she mentioned were single-player. Less game-ruining for other people.
And not mundane things like [i]botting[/i] </3
I suggest they actually have a system that you can actually report people instead of one time a day.
What's the point of only reporting once if they don't even check into them.

IDK, Lunar Dews were the bane of my existence, and I eventually gave up on 'em... but I'd never have resorted to hacking even if the means were metaphorically dropped straight into my lap with a bow on top.

None. If I had any, I would have been banned already. Mr. B has already banned someone I know for "like system abuse" - i.e., too many likes on too many of their own comments from the same IP.
nexon is trying to help. didn't you notice that the jett hackers with the AoE attack went away? nexon patched it.
its just whenever some company patches a hack. the hackers make a new way around it.
hacking will never go away and its just a game, so the people hacking can't go to jail like if they hacked somone credit cards.

Yeah, that makes sense.
I see a lot of BaM and DS botters, too, but in lower-level areas. IIRC the ones that irked me in ToT were Evans.
Nexon should hire someone that will download hacks and figure out how to stop them before it is widely distributed.

First of all, no i don't use a FMA, second, I am a legit player, meaning that after the phantom patch, i got nerfed bad.

Ive actually never really minded hackers. The only thing that ever annoyed me is the duping that crashed servers... that's just me tho
