What should be changed in Maplestory?

Changes in Maplestory
1. All servers join
2. Free markets separate in different towns.
3. Depending on the difficulty of the boss will depend on the drop rate and the stat of an item.
4. Take away Dimensional door and have a map for each party quest.
5. Take away teleportation and everyone must use ships, but ships only take 5 Minutes not 10-20 minutes.
6. Make the EXP given from a monster depending on its level (I have seen 2 level 150 monsters, 1 gives 5K EXP, another gives 20K EXP)
7. Different classes have their own unique skills (I hate how some people call a class trash and another epic. Different classes should have their own unique skill that appeals to the player)
8. Item Tags should be removed from an item and the Cash Shop.
9. Platinum Scissor of Karma should be removed, and only Scissor of Karma should stay.
10. Cash items should be extended to 6 months instead of 3.
11. All hair styles and color and eye styles and color should be in the shops. And we should be able to pick which ones we want, instead of using Royal Hair Coupon.
12. All Cash inventories from each character should be joined, and we should be able to switch NX clothes and stuff (A few exceptions).
13. We should have Meso -> NX converters (We will already have it), or NX -> Meso converters.
14. For event shop it should be in each town. But for every season shop it should have its own map (Like Christmas Town)

Free Markets: Actually, no, it wouldn't be 'more fun' to have to travel the globe to see who's selling what; in fact, I think it'd contribute to the current problem of lack of people in the Free Market because it would be spreading people even thinner. As for the whole 'server merging' idea, it's just not feasible.

Traveling: Again, if by 'fun', you mean tedious, then yes, taking ships to and from every continent is extremely 'fun'. As I keep having to say, the only form of social interaction left in the game is obnoxious people who macro their skills and give the macro a title/shout so it reads "HS plz" or something to that extent every three minutes. And frankly, being able to get where you want to be in a matter of seconds is amazingly helpful when doing quests or moving to new training spots... I mean, why else were things like Eos/Orbis Rock Scrolls, Nearest Town Scrolls and the Hyper Teleport Rock even invented? If you have the option to avoid wasting time, effort and health trying to traverse maps with hundreds of monsters running around eager to kill you, I say take it.

Party Quests: You know, I remember a time back before the Big Bang when they did things that way, having all of the party quests segregated from one another... you had to go to Kerning City and talk to Lakelis; or go all the way to Henesys' Mushroom Park and talk to Tory; or if you wanted to do the Dimensional Schism, you had to hop two ships which took thirty minutes just to talk to an anthropomorphic red stop sign. It was not fun... but while I agree that it shouldn't all be in one room, they should have at least left it so that there were 'easy', 'medium' and 'hard' PQ lobbies.

Professions:When they had crafting NPCs in certain towns, there was not a lot there you could do with them. You could either craft three different types of the same glove, or you could shove off and look for one yourself... I mean, I had always questioned why monsters would evacuate their bowels upon death to reveal, among two swords and a full quiver of crossbow bolts, a giant hunk of ore used to create a diamond. (Talk about a jewel-encrusted turd, am I right? ) But giving players the option to create what they want when they want and let their experience grow to create more powerful items... I think that's the right way to go about it. It gives more control to the players.

Experience Rate on Monsters: Please enlighten me as to what monsters at lower levels (save for the pre-nerf versions of Aliens and Jesters ) give as much experience as a monster easily twice its level. And you also have to consider that experience scales based on level and health points; Evolving World is a perfect example of that--alter the health or the level of the monsters, and you get more experience.

Boss Drop Rates & Difficulty: ...you know what, I'm skipping this one because I don't boss at all, so it makes really no difference to me.

Classes and Job Changes: I have to ask, what game are you playing if you think that all the classes are the same as one another? Because surely, you're not talking about MapleStory. I mean, all of these classes are exactly as you describe them right now: Thieves are already the fastest attackers, Bowmen already have the best attack range, Warriors are already huge damage-dishing tanks, and Pirates already have combinations of long- and short-range skills as you described them. And why would classes' skills have strengths or weaknesses compared to another class--just enlighten me, what purpose would that serve, especially if something like PvP were ever re-implemented into the game? It wouldn't make PvP more fair, it would just turn it into a giant pock-paper-scissors match.

NX Items: I've been saying all of this for years... literally. I mean, it's been at least two years since I first made sharing Cash Shop inventories a point to be considered, and MrBasil even made a petition to make all items tradeable within the account, which I think is why it's included in that 'Better Maple' mini-poll that Nexon recently put up for players to vote on. As for the '365-day item' thing... I don't think so. Rather than that, I would honestly just settle for a cheap NX-centric version of those time-extending hourglasses we currently have in the Cash Shop to increase how long we can use time-limited equipment; it would give us the option to renew items on the cheap, netting us wardrobes that last longer and Nexon a steady influx of money, and it would save us the trouble of browsing through twenty or more pages of overalls just to find the one we're wearing at the moment. I say all that mostly because while it's up for consideration in the 'Better Maple' survey, I still think permanent NX outside of Premium Surprise Style Boxes might be in the realm of impossibility.
@IsGamer: tbh i didn't like most of the things on the survey, just sounded like a bunch of whiny basil questions, however they also had some pretty good questions as well.
Some SURE are everyday's complains, but some others deserve a good # of votes actually, i hope they make it.
@CherryTigers: well if RED is everything people say it's going to be, nexon might be on the right track
Finally a decent conversation .

Anyway, if they make ANYTHING from "A Better Maple", then RED is the best update in the game.

That's if Nexon starts being a better company though, which most of us hope.

@vCane: Yea, that's true. Although I do hate on Nexon a lot, I feel they're actually doing better and better now. Let's see if they can keep up the trend.

the fm idea is stupid. the point of the fm enterance is so everyone can meet up in one place and sell items.

@vCane: If I could do this, then I would literally level up my Phantom to 200, xfer equips to make a level 200 DB, then level 200 Xenon, and all the other thief classes. It would be so much fun to be able to freely xfer tyrants without having to cry about 8k nx back and forth per equip.

@vCane: I'm sure we both would love to scrap the psok/sok thing but you know how thirsty Nexon is. They've been making bank with PSOKs anyways. We need to compromise with Nexon. PSOKs for outside trades, no PSOK for inner storage account transfers. I feel it's fair at least.

Make monsters have more hp (more exp and more mesos to compensate for higher hp) cause the game is so boring when everything dies in one hit.

Free Market - This is like a lowest priority thing but okay.

Traveling - This is very true and I feel like even though I'm a lazy mofo it would still be an improvement to the community aspect of the game. But, lots of people would be frustrated, mad, or confused if they just removed the Dimensional Portal and such.

Party Quests - your idea kinda goes with the Traveling thing.

Profession - I thought I was the only who ever thought what you just said! I hate professions, I ain't got time fo that. But bots do.

Experience Rate - well it's supposed to be exponentially harder at higher levels...that's why the amount of EXP gained gets lower and lower.

Boss Drop Rates - lol I don't care about bosses cause I'm too poor and too low level anyway

Classes and Job Changes - I've been thinking about this same stuff a lot, but it would still be really hard to come up with what each class is good at, while considering that all you do in Maple is boss and grind...if they do it like you said, Thieves will definitely be the best at grinding, and Warriors the best at bossing, and there will be little use for the other classes. When do you really need to hit far away? I don't think there enough useful characteristics to match each class to do it this way, but it would be cool if this could somehow happen.

PSOKs.

We should NOT need PSOK to move items within our own account via storage. PSOKs should be used exclusively for trading other people.

Sorry, I honestly don't agree with any of the things you wrote in your thread.
Splitting the FM's is called a recipe for disaster. I was even going to propose a system where we literally COMBINE all the freemarkets from EVERY server. Imagine ch 1-5 literally every room filled with shops. This is a hated solution, but I know for sure, it will fix so many problems. (Yes problems may rise too but there's no perfect solution.)

And you were complaining about hard mode bosses and now you want us to have a "god mode" vellum? No thanks..

I am pretty sorry if i am harsh here but:

1)That one wouldn't be bad, FM is a bit repetitive.
2)I'd prefer a second of travel rather than waiting 10 minutes in a ship or plane.
3)Nexon mixed every PQ in a map for an easier meeting.
4)Not bad, but it steals the fun of trying to archieve higher levels on your profession to craft better items.
5)Simply no, there's going to be too many exploits and easy levels.
6)No because what's the point? Normal to "God" is too much, and the drop rates are ridiculous, they just need to fix the drop rates and everything will be pretty fine.
7)Makes every class way too boring.

Free Market
No.

Traveling
Yes.

Party Quests
Yes.

Profession
The current system is good, just make it harder or something.

Experience Rate on Monsters
Yes.

Boss Drop Rates & Difficulty
Just make it simple as having a single type of boss and only that boss drops [insert godly item here]

Classes and Job Changes
Yeah. Didn't read that one honestly.

LOL about the FM idea.. People would like it if you were to talk about it..
But when it actually happens.. Thats when everyone quits..
and then everyone saying - "WTFFF the fm was the only decent thing in this game and now its destroyed Thanks alot NEXON"
