yes it does, 1 hit or otherwise
If you use it as a finishing blow to bosses, OR 1hit KO monsters, the buff applies.
They changed showdown and now the effect works when you apply the debuff OR 1 hit ko a monster/boss
I just realized a good way to test if it does would be to kill a monster without showdown and then with and see if the exp changes...lalalalaa
It was changed (a while ago). It applies now.

nope. Its considered a debuff/monster status effect, so you would need to apply it first before killing it.
