Got question about math
I'm Asian, I took College Calculus as a freshman, and I figured out something last night:
The lecture was about linear function with word problems, as well as knowing the business terms like revenue=fixed cost+various cost or profit=revenue-cost.
Now, from what I observed, a lot of people in my class know more about those terms than I do, but when it comes down to the math portion of it, like using a formula, I feel I could do those problems very easily, but it seems I lack of general understanding of how those terms work.
So could any of you American who's been raised here explain this phenomena?

Okay, let's clear this out.
I understand how to do math and apply formulas very easier than most in my class.
But most in my class knows better than me in how to actually apply those business terms like revenue, cost, profit in the real world.

Wait, you miss the point here.. I know math is little bit "late" in America, but I feel like a lot of you know general knowledge (like how Revenue, Cost, and Profit work) more than I do, but I feel like I could do the math part of it very easily.
God told me the secret words that allowed me to know everything about feet
