Additional Gollux coins?

This is actually a 2 in 1 thread because I see no point in making another thread and wasting time and space on the front page. Question 1, if I were to kill 1 gollux body part and enter the head, it is automatically hard mode, but if I leave and go to the other body parts and kill those to get their coins, will the head remain in hard mode or will it switch to easy? I tried this today by defeating its shoulder and going into its head and coming back out again to destroy his stomach, and as I went back in, his head was still in hard mode. I know this because it would take me about 5 minutes to kill normal Gollux, but this took me almost 15 minutes (I lost all my lives after I got to the jewel on his head). I am hoping someone could put this to the test by destroying all 3 body parts and come share the results.
Second question: For San Commerci, does anyone know if the furious black powder, enchanted oil, etc from the shop that equips to the ship are permanent or not?

1) If you go in during the jaw, leave, and kill more body parts, the jaw will stay in hard mode.
When you get to the eyes and the forehead, the hp will be adjusted to the amount of body parts killed.
In the end, youll get the coins based on the total body parts killed.
EX:
I kill the stomache and go into the head. Its now in hard mode.
I leave and I kill the two shoulders, then go back into gollux. The jaw remains in hard mode. When you kill the jaw and get to the eyes, the eyes and the forehead will be in easy mode, since you killed all 3 parts.
In the end, you'll get 2 coins from gollux, since you killed the body parts for easy mode
1st Question: The HP will still be in Hard mode HP, but as soon as you get to the 2nd head/3rd head, it'll revert back to whatever difficulty it should be based on things killed. The rewards will also be based on whats actually killed. However, since the part is dead, Gollux will only have the HP of the original mode, but won't be attacking you with a dead part.
Source: Killed Easy Gollux with Normal mode HP, got Easy mode rewards and wasted 10 minutes.
@williamme: The jaw is at hard mode and after you kill the jaw, the eyes "check" the body parts again and suddenly since you killed the other body parts, it turns into easy mode and when you win even if you killed hard mode jaw, you only get easy mode prizes.
