@random87: because, as i said in page one i believe, the game grabs whichever is higher out of min and max crit, and puts that as your max crit, dark knights have inherently very high min crit, more than max so in your stats your "max crit" is in fact the min crit! and as you can guess the min crit is in reality your max crit.
that's why i told you to get SE, this would raise your max crit (currently lower than min crit) to the point where you'll have more max crit than min, leaving your stats at 165-175 min/max crit, or 175-175 min/max crit if you equip the ring.
to put another example.
your real stats ------------ your status window 165% min crit ------------ 150% min crit 150% max crit ----------- 165% max crit
add the ring with 10% min crit:
165% min crit + 10 ----- 150% min crit 150% max crit ----------- 175% max crit

I don't really know how much deff ignore DRK's have just from skills, so I don't know how important the extra deff ignore really is. As far as I know sacrifice and gungnir already ignore a lot of defence, combine that with 30% deff ignore from the leafre set, and some from your CRA set and we might have enough already. Don't take my word for it though, deff ignore is a topic I don't know to much about and don't want to burn my hand on.
Minimum critical only goes up to 150% and I think DRK's already have that just from skills (at least mine has 150%) When you get more than 150% minimal it starts to count towards maximum critical, so it doesn't matter which of the crit rings you take since both will count as maximum critical rings. I have a decent amount of boss attack so I still chose for max crit, I think that would boost my damage the most.
