Friendship help
So in school, I sit next to this girl for three classes. I don't like as in boyfriend/girlfriend, I just want to be her friend. Before I really got to know her, I would make jokes about her and a few friends would laugh. Now since we talk a bit in class, I think we've gotten a bit closer than at first. When we were talking and she said something mean to me, but in a jokingly way, my friend said, "Wow, I thought you were his friend, but you're mean to him" also in a jokingly way. Then she said that she wasn't my friend because I'm mean to her. Since I'm stuck sitting with her for the rest of this school year, I don't want it to be miserable, so I want to become her friend. I know I may sound pathetic or thirsty, but can you guys give me any tips on how to become more friendly, what to talk about, and stuff like that? Thanks a bunch.

First step: stop making fun of her.
The rest should come naturally.
I stopped caring.
No literally, like I just act optimistic and it kinda works out itself.
Don't make fun of her. Just talk to her I guess make those jokes on occasions.
Or keep doing what you are doing. Who cares?
damn. men have become so beta they willingly friendzone themselves nowadays.
You're so mean.
