Why is the Fm so dead?
I came back from a pretty long break recently, and I've noticed that there are very few people in the FM, and shops barely have anything selling from them. What happened? Is the Auction House coming that soon?

@WSbojer: Not sure in other worlds but i noticed in bera when i came back about a month ago that practically half the fm was empty. And alot of my friends who controlled the market quit and so did alot of other merchants. But as of right now alot of people who usually have shops in the fm are hell banned atm
@WSbojer:
I think it has to do with the instability of the FM at the moment because of the dupers, the introduction of equips that are along the same lines of Root Abyss gear (end game equipment) for dirt cheap prices due to their ease of access and high drop rate, and the general lack of people playing.

The PQ's and popular areas are lively-ish, but the FM has a maximum of 15 people in it at anytime, with only 2 or 3 buying / selling things, and the shops barely sell anything but crafting materials.

Personally, I think it was because of the lack of substantial content following the Unleashed patch, which, imho was a big flop, because of school and such, and due to Nexon in general, as well as several hacker related incidents resulting in many people being hell banned, both legit and illegit... plus again... Nexon in general, you know the drill. At first RED had a great deal of people coming back, which is a first for a while, but its starting to die down a bit since the four biggest hypes of the RED update, the coin shop, revamped explorers, Zero, and Commerci, are starting to lose their charm. Plus, another reason for this was because of the piss poor action that Nexon has taken against the dupers in the FM hurt the game a bit (they waited until several hours after rampant duping, and decided NOT to RB, but instead, hellban a bunch of people and hope for the best on New Years Day.) Also, I dunno if the Auction House will be used a lot vs general FM stores, as not only do you get a limited number of searches per day, but you also need an active amount of people actually using the system, which I don't think will be much after the initial introduction.
I've been gone since Jett release, so it seemed like there was a lot of new stuff, but I can see why people wouldn't see it as much. Nexon has always screwed up everything, but I can understand the community's response. It just seems veeery strange to me that not even the FM has items selling. How is one supposed to fund themselves is one of the only methods of making money is ded?
FM is dead because these hackers keep crashing channels.
The community died this hard? What exactly happened to cause people to go?
School is back for a few people, so that's why. The game itself was pretty crowded during the middle of December.
No, it's just people really did quit. And also there's not much to sell but godlies, boss drops, and NX equips. It's not like how it used to be where people sold WS, protects, 10 attacks and such.
Also recently there was a mass Hell Ban on people who used a duping hack or were suspected of being a part of the duping.
server crashes....since people have been duping items as of late...and well a lot of people are back in school it was pretty busy in FM during the winter break
The fm being dead is a reflection of the game being dead (unless you're a hacker or like playing in a game completely controlled by them).
