there is no passive effect on showdown, so when you kill the monster you will gain an extra 30% extra exp/drop

The EXP/Drop Rate Increase does work, and the effect is also applied if you ohko the enemy now. He probably brought up passive effects since you can't steal them (e.g. Dark Serenity's 30% PDR), but it was an unnecessary thing to mention.

I say showdown because it does enormous damage and hits 6 monsters(with no passive effects so the 30% exp/drop is carried over when you kill the monster)

For Evo, I'd advise you to use Mille Aiguilles.
Hold down on it and kill everything !
