Your laptop might have already had the software to handle the video file format. VLC has most of that stuff built into itself. Determining the cause can be difficult in this case, but it is most likely a problem or incompatibility with your media player.

Then address my last two points. I see you have Malwarebytes installed. Have you recently scanned your computer? You said watching videos was the only problem you have right now. I suspect it's possibly a media player issue. Use this: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I usually have a few programs open like always and it doesnt lag at all, and i play 2 games at once and watch some vid.

But now its just ms and the vid and the vid is laggy ( it finished loading the whole thing but when I watch it, it lag like walking in ch 1 fm on rubbish comp)

I even try different vid ( just incase only that one lag) but all of them are like that..so I guess there's something wrong with my comp.

This problem could be the fault of a weaker new computer; the only way for me to know is if you reply with your computer's manufacturer brand and model ID. However, stating that this started within a fairly recent time period leads me to believe otherwise.

Viruses or malware may have infected your computer and are competing with the video playback for system resources. Regular virus scans with a reliable anti-virus program will usually take care of this. Malwarebytes Free is an additional layer of protection alongside real-time anti-virus.

Your current media player may hate your videos. VLC player is the most fuss-free when handling all sorts of video format types. It's also free to use.
