no one ever mentions him, even though he's in it for vengeance he has a good heart, takes crap from no one, pierced the shields allowing the heroes to damage the black mage and eventually win against him, and possibly earn himself a hot elf girl; mainly mercedes, cuz chicks love a brooding hero, especially elf chicks.

edit: yes he was misguided, but he did his best to make up for it, even though it wouldn't earn him forgiveness among the other heroes.

Phantom, based on storyline, looks, and skill appearances. They seem cool, but pretty annoying to train.
Luminous, by playing. Super fun and awesome skill types.

Aran, they were the first to have a unique combo system.

My Aran was the second character I ever created(first being my bowman), and I loved it since then.

i liked aran because i like warriors and when they came out they were the best warrior in mobility, they got combat step at 2nd job and i was always combat stepping from ledge to ledge.

Arans are really cool but the questline could be better...maybe they only need a questline revamp..
I don't know what to say about Phantom...
Evan is the basic story of a farmer who found a Dragon...there is movies about it...
Mercedes story could have more fights, more action...it's too girly...

Luminous is powerful, if that's what you mean. The strongest one is Aran.
And actually, though he may have been "extremely useful" they were all useful... Aran fought an entire army by himself so they couldn't attack the others, Freud + Afrien set up the seal, Phantom killed Suu and thus made Orchid leave, eliminating 2 of the commanders, and also foiling Hilla's plans to replace Cygnus with herself. Phantom may not have done a lot in the fight itself, but he was still useful and if it wasn't for him Hilla would be the Empress and the Black Mage would have won regardless of whether or not the heroes beat him in the fight. And as for Mercedes... well..... we don't even know what she did.

But all Luminous had to do was activate the seal that Freud and Mir already made...

OT: My all around favorite is Evan, or should I say Mir? Or Freud? Or Afrien? I can never tell.....
I would probably really enjoy Merc if they weren't so horribly weak. I seriously have this urge to make one, but I have too many characters already and whenever I think about the damage I would be doing I just don't want to anymore. The game isn't fun if it takes 3 minutes to kill a Crocky and even if you are funded you would still probably be outclassed by a Luminous, Kaiser, AB, etc.

Luminous in terms of looks (dat hair)
Aran because his/her class contains the beginner hero (Legend)
Phantom in terms of gameplay

If I had to choose one over all the others though, it would be Legend (Aran).

Freud

Mercedes. Her mobility, skills, and design in general appeal to me the most.
Luminous is a second. His light/darkness scheme is done quite often, but was pulled off rather nicely.
Evan is third. I've loved Magicians for a while and him being the closest thing to a summoner-type class is nice.
Aran is fourth. His combo system was a fresh start and being the first hero, I just [i]had[/i] to like him.
Phantom, sadly enough, is last. While his concept was nice, I just found it completely boring to get through second job. Third job wasn't fun either and I forced myself to use the Angelic Buster level 70 Potion on him just for the Link Skill.

Speed didnt really matter in gallop, skele, and other map. Due to the classes being non op.

I thought level 20-30 was pretty cheap when I played it, but when I got to level 30 I almost cried trying to level it. Dang, that Lightning Bolt was so weak at CPQ and even when you got to 40 you still died really quickly. Fun times.

OT: I think story wise my favorite would be Aran. When it was released, Nexon hadn't had the opportunity to botch up the story and it fit pretty well. Now, with newer characters, inconsistencies have ruined the history. Game play wise, I'd think it's either Mercedes, Phantom, or Evan. I say so many because I find it hard to pick one; all are so different yet so similar when it comes to how easily you can deal damage with them. All of them are pretty over powered by my standards (compared to the classes I like) thus I come down to comparing skills. When you compare the skills, all three jobs essentially end up spamming one skill.

Lumi, because he's the best of them according to the story, plus he's a real mage, unlike evan and I like mages

Aran and Evan

Either aran or mercedes. I like the combos for aran but I like the mobility of mercedes and the fact that she's an archer.
