relationship advice
First off, im only in high school. Ok, I like this girl and im pretty sure that she likes me back. My friends and even her friends tell me to ask her out all the time. Last night, I hinted that I will ask her out today and today she has been completely avoiding me. I asked her friend why she's avoiding me and she said that she is afraid that ill ask her out. What does this all mean? Did I scare her off? What should I do next.

She just likes the fact that a boy is giving her attention, but she doesn't actually like you and will never be in a relationship with you.

see the problem is, the girl hasn't directly said it to anyone except her best friend and her best friend says that she can't tell me if the girl likes me or not

She either doesnt like you or she really likes you but is totally freaked out/nervous lol

If she's purposely avoiding you because she's afraid you'll ask her out then that means she doesn't want you to do it.
1. She may not be attracted to you.
2. She is not ready for a relationship.
3. She values your friendship and doesn't want to hurt your feelings.
It can be a mix of those three things but either way she doesn't want you to ask her out at this point in time or she'd not be hiding from you so don't go out of your way to track her down and ask her out because 99.9% chance she says no. Let her avoid you for today and maybe tomorrow but do not ask her friends where she is, eventually she'll stop feeling the need to avoid you and if by chance you see her just act normal, greet her or whatever you usually do and be on your way. Don't get all weird and start avoiding her or treating her differently because that just creates a really awkward situation that nobody likes.
