Share your Character Keyboard Layout.
Part of playing any game is control. MapleStory allows you to set your keyboard layout anyway you want. While some people tend to set their keys any which way, others tend to like a very organized layout. In this thread, I'll be sharing the layout I use for most of my characters, just for fun. If you feel like sharing yours, post a SS or give specific key layouts. You can use this thread to share and compare layouts, and get advice on how you should assign yours.
As for me, I enjoy a very organized layout when it comes to my characters. Most of them share the exact same layout with a few adjustments. For me, it basically goes like this:
[b]CTRL[/b]: Jump
[b]ALT[/b]: Main Single Attack
[b]Shift[/b]: Pick Up
[b]"="[/b]: Sit
[b]0[/b]: Buff Potions
[b]~[/b]: Mount or Regular Attack.
[b]F9~12[/b]: Rarely used skills. I usually put skills like Tele Mastery, Ele Reset, maker and L. Spirit on these keys.
Attack keys are usually like this:
[b]Z[/b]: Main Mobbing Attack/Secondary Single Attack (Pierce, Blizzard, Assaulter, Wind Pierce (Wind Archer)).
[b]A[/b]: Secondary Mob Attack (Blizzard/Inferno, Ice Demon, Band of Thieves). For my WA, I put Wind Shot here because of the transformation.
[b]S[/b]: Rarely Used attacks (Strafe (for jump-shooting), Slow, Savage Blow, etc.)
[b]C[/b]: Summons (Frostprey, Elquines, Shadow Partner, Storm)
[b]D[/b]: Puppet (For Archers)
[b]X[/b]: Rush/Mobility Skills (Teleport, Flash Jump, Dragon Breath, Storm Break)
I use the numpad for movement, so a lot of my skills are on the pad as well.
[b]Del[/b]: Vital Buff. (Magic Guard, Soul Arrow, Shadow Star, etc.) For my Shadower, I put pickpocket on this key because while it's not very vital, I need it at a moment's glance and because of the short duration time I have to constantly re-cast it. Meso Guard could also go here because it is a vital skill as well, but the short duration time means you're better off just putting it in a macro with haste and booster.
[b]Page Down[/b]: Self Buffs. Basically, any skill that I'll be using mainly on myself goes in the form of a macro. (Tip: Skills that have similar durations are best put in a macro together.)
[b]Page Up[/b]: Party Skills/Self Skills (Sharp Eyes, Maple Warrior, Hyper Body, etc.,). Any skills that are desired by the whole party are put on this key. (Tip: It's a good idea to put hidden skills together on the same macro, especially when solo hunting bosses like Pap and Czak, for the fact that hidden skills cannot be dispelled by monsters.)
[b]Insert[/b]: All Cures usually go here for me.
[b]End and Home[/b]: HP and MP pots, respectively.

@ShadowBo0m I tried playing the game with a PS3 controller but there weren't enough buttons XD. It was pretty cool using the sixasis though =D (Tilting the controller to move is always fun ^.^)

I usually put all my buffs on the top row, "=", "-", "0", etc. and just go down the row as I buff. Then macros came out.
Alt - Jump
Space - ManaPotions
A - HealthPotions
X,C,V,D,F - Attacks.
Home, PUp, PDwn, End, Delete, Insert - Buffs.
M - Haste, Summons, etc.

the layout i use is quite nice i think because all the keys are easy to get to. i was never really good at remembering where they were if i placed them on letter keys =S
@Aurorab1ade When I play on new chars, my layout changes a bit because I don't know exactly how all the skills work. Making a DB layout was the most confusing because you used a lot of skills that had to be chained together (Took me even longer to realize that FA didn't chain with any skill on a marco.)
@bryanlatorre PelvicThrust = Sexiest macro ever for any combo. Other than that I tend to put a little Latin in my macros. For my mage, Meditate/Booster is "~OmniaMagia~" (Means "All Magical" in latin)
To answer all of those asking about my UI, MY UI is MY business. They can't ban someone for messing with files on their own computer, especially if it doesn't affect the game in any way whatsoever. Read the ToS please.
my usual key map is:
Ctrl: Movement (FJ/tele etc)
Space: 1v1 skil (for skills like double shot, L7) or for mob skills like SSK and Slash blast
Shift: Ranged mobbing
Alt: Jump
Home/End: Hp/Mp respectively
Insert: Booster
Delete: Alternate skills such as drain and recoil shot
Page Up: All cure/Defense buff macro
Page Down: Atk or Speed buff (Haste, Rage, dash)
`: Important Buff (HS, Shadow Partner)
Although it does vary a little for my DB due to the order of when the skills became available

Did you know that you can get banned for .WZ files edit?
That's considered hacking.
That SS can get you banned from nexon, should not edit any file from the nexon folder. Anywho,
