Funding my Kaiser

I decided to pick Kaiser out of all my classes to fund. The only thing I have currently is some good 12% Str Earrings and an almost complete empress 2h sword. I'll probably put maybe 5-10b in. What kind of items in terms of armor and what not do I want to buy? How much % str should I try to get? What kind of range would I be looking at? Adding to this, for the cubing event saturday what is a good potential to get? Thank you for any input I appreciate all responses.
