Merchants, empress gear from boxes and pc gaming culture
I keep hearing how people are annoyed/angry/upset that empress gear will be coming out of the anni boxes, to you i say "deal with it."
Sure, some people may have dumped money into funding their empress killers. Maxing out stats and cubing for the best. Merchants spend hours organizing prices and keeping up with trends. But seriously, someone will always have better equipment and maple wasn't created so YOU can make money.
That brings me to my last point. I am in no way a specific fanboy. I am a gamer. I play games. nintendo, microsoft, sony, pc, mac. Yes. But one thing has always bothered me about pc gaming. buying/selling/merching. From diablo to wow, maplestory to "casual games" there have always been people trying to make money off of them. Not the companies, the gamers. No, I don't think it's wrong to want to make money off of something you spend time on, but seriously. If someone needs 2xx of something to complete a quest, just give them the bloody things. Especially if you have no need for them.
For example, you kill some boss in Borderlands you get a tonne of extra gear. Some of which you don't need. What do most people do? They drop it for the next person that needs it. Sure, if there was some sort of market where you could sell those extras, it would change. But why would you need one?
My point is, maplestory will always have (and need) a FM but when things like these boxes come around that gives a chance for someone to obtain something that could help them out. Suck it up. So you will make a million (billion) or so less meso a day, at least you won't have to resort to giving it away for free.

The thing here is that people who have reasons to complain (ex: me) already accepted that and just moved on to other ways of making mesos without pumping hundreds of $ in the game. There's still plenty of ways, but the average unfunded guy is just too happy to shove into our face how "pro" he'll be with his clean empress that he'll get for free. The gap between the rich and the poor is a good thing and, for those of you who claim getting free empress equips will reduce that gap, it's just reducing it to what it was a couple of patches ago. New equips have been released, it is time to make the old useless stuff widely available. We see the same thing in the real world, when for example, you buy a new computer. The cheap computers of 2013 were the awesome computer a few years ago.
In borderlands 2 everyone can dupe their items with ease so you cant really sell weapons
I agree that the complainers should suck it up whether they like it or not.
You have to know this gives clean empress equips NOT scrolled ones. So all your nicely scrolls / potential armours are still worth the same.
I wonder how much will QQ when we get KMS 100% 10 + att scrolls
all the complainers are just frustrated they can't charge through the nose for empress equips that they could monopolize by controlling the only empress channel 24 hours a day.
for all the people saying the gap between rich and poor is too huge i would like to point one thing out. Most of those who you call rich didnt become rich over night they all started out poor and merched their way to being rich and godly (time spent. time=$=reward of being godly), or they bought with real $ ($=$=reward of being godly) i think this event is great because it allows the ingenious of the not so godly to have a chance for becoming godly (its pretty easy to make billions off of these events nexon gives if your smart about it and its not like you have to no life to do it either just plan ahead)
so can the complaints about the gp between rich and poor being to large stop coming up. if your dissatisfied with where you stand work to make yourself richer and stronger. find out prices in your fm in whatever server you play sell things at competitive prices buy upgraded equips for yourself rinse and repeat

The greedy will always complain on how enough is never enough. Now, finally a chance for the unfunded players to stock up on empress gear(s) and make a profit themselves. Honestly the argument of how fair the "poor rich gap" is is just one of morality and personal benefit so we can all just stop talking about which side is "right."

At least your points are some what VALID. I mean it's no better than the 10+ comments I got on the video I made on the subject which was people saying dumb things like "KMS DID IT SO ITS LEGIT"
From my point of view, It's not about making meso or anything like that, for some people yeah thats all they use Empress gear for, it's easily obtained, easy sell, and stats on Empress gear are decent for UNFUNDED players. As for the "pros" who can afford 150 sets and Tyrant gear, they only use Empress as a way to make money. Whats wrong with that? Nothing at all. But then again, I never cared for Empress gear, Never cared for the boss(its just annoying to get into, its flooded with hackers, just everything about Empress is annoying), and stopped merching over 2 years ago.
The fact Nexon put Empress gear into the boxes is frustrating because of the market at the moment, It's only going to crash the each servers market. And the fact Nexon said they want the markets to stay "stable" and then put GMS's only big source of income into the Anniversary event will only cause the market to crash.
The one thing I'll give you is the "suck it up at least you won't resort to giving it away" comment. Because it's true, people will get over it. And with time, find a new way to make meso, but for now, let them QQ
Honestly, there's been too much talk about this free empress stuff. First, the majority of us don't have any kms experience to validate if it would dramatically lower the price of empress equips. Second, I understand that certain people make money off of these equips, but lets face the facts here: things will always change and you just got to adapt ( aka find a new way of making mesos ).
The gap between funded & unfunded is far too big.
There is no way a clean unfunded char can rush bosses that drop good stuff.
This is somewhat the chance they never had to KINDA get up to date.
Clean gear of any kind is still outdated.
