@vCane: I stated that there's an EXP penalty for killing monsters above your level. I don't know exactly how much, but I know it exists.
I also stated that the penalty ends at level 160.

the last time they did a 2x weekend i wasnt getting 2x from sand rats and scorpions and i was lv 50-70 but i might have gotten the time wrong
There's no penalty for killing monsters below your level.

Also, x2 exp has nothing to do with it.
x2 EXP is an event where you get twice the amount of EXP from each kill.
There is, however, penalty for killing monsters ABOVE your level. the higher the difference, the bigger the penalty.
it ends at level 160, and at that point there's no penalty at all (all level 160+ monsters are considered "Around your level" no matter if you are level 160 or 250).
