I have some quick questions I recently got a Windows 8 laptop. 1. When I open up internet explorer it opens it in the desktop. How do I make it open in the start screen? 2. What games run smoothly on Windows 8? This laptop has an AMD A8 4500M APU with 4GB of RAM.
To all Intel fanboys The AMD 8350 outperforms the i5 3570K, i7 3770K, and i7 3820K. The Intel only slightly outperforms the 8350 in Crysis and Battlefield. Don't believe me? For proof. The 8 cores are also very useful. Edit: This was somewhat a troll
Unable to finish installation So I keep trying to install AVG PC TuneUp 2014 and every time I try, it cannot complete. It says "undoing actions" and says an error made it unable to finish installation. Is it possible it has anything to do with this? I was trying a PC tune up software because my laptop has been incredibly slow as of late. This is on Windows 8. Other than the slow computer and inability to complete that installation nothing strange has been going on. I need
Internet speed is so slow all of a sudden My internet speed in the past week has been bad at time but for almost all of today its been not even hitting 1MB/s and I get 193 ping. Does anyone know why this might be? I doubt I'm getting D DOSED, but I don't want to rule out that possibility. On speed test I usually get around 19.62MB/s down and 5.52MB/s up with 29 ping when my internet isn't being extremely slow. It also takes forever to load up a 45 second YouTube video.

I have never laughed more about something in computers So my friend was playing Crusader Kings 2, and in the middle of the game it supposedly froze on him. He said he turned it off after waiting for an hour for it to unfreeze. Then he shut it off, he didn't want to wait nor he does know much about computers. He brings in his laptop to school the next day and asks me to look at it, and said there was a problem. I opened it up and turned it on, I was treating to some text that said it could not find a bootable media. At this point I asked what he did, and he told me the story. So I tried opening the BIOS and it was unbootable, that gave me an error. So, before I put the clues together, I attempted a factory restore. I pressed the factory rest
Windows 8 Memory and Disk Usage I have this strange problem, It started today it never happened before today. I go into task manager and my disk usage is super high, sometimes it stays like that, sometimes it goes back to down to 0-20% range. Memory is being weird. It says 77% consistently, yet when it adds up the amount being used in the Users tab, it says its using 400 MB, I have 4 GB of RAM. Well disk usage isn't really new, but I never had this memory problem. Windows has even been auto-terminating chrome when I have 2 youtube videos open. TWO. Does Windows 8 have accuracy errors or something? I doubt its a virus since Malwarebytes and AVG having updated just before I scanned, turned up nothing. EDIT: I did a restart and now Windows isn
