Does the quotfind a guildquot functionality actually work?

Just wondering, I tried to apply to a few guilds in Bera but never got anything back. Neither a denial nor an acceptance. They had plenty of people online, though I guess they might have been afk.

Well my application got me into the TwoAmores guild. You are correct though. The person that recruited me wanted to do a chat with me first, so they apparently do not simply take random individuals. I tried two others but I guess they missed my application. On the upside, this seems to be a nice, friendly active guild. The alliance (iSoSage) seems to also be pretty active.

I mean I thought that doing these applications was the way you do it now, so I didn't wanna go around pestering people, and I don't see any listings anywhere (used to I would go to Sleepywood)...

Does it even show that you've been rejected if they click the 'reject' button? When I get a random request from someone who doesn't even try to contact me I always reject it without even thinking twice about who the person is. I would recommend getting in contact with someone rather than just trying to apply.

You don't get into a good guild by tossing a random application. You look up the names of their Juniors, since they're generally in charge of recruiting, and ask to join.

1. Don't bother applying to dead guilds, obviously if no one is online to accept your application you're not getting in.
2. There are about 5-10 active alliances in Bera atm, it's fairly easy to get into most them if you're polite and able to speak coherently.
3. What happens when you apply to a guild using the "Request to Join" button is a small box appears in a hidden window that only Jrs and the Guild leader can access. In other words, it's really easy to miss. And even if they did see it, no decent guild will invite some random they've never talked to.
