Combat Orders Reliant Skill Build

So I really want to make a paladin, and I've been reading the stickied guide

So I understand what it means when it says combat orders reliant, but which is better?
Like for first or 2nd job is there a point of saving those two points on some skils for other bad skills?

any input would be great. thanks for any answers

The stickied guide doesn't talk about Physical Training, though you may have heard about it from just reading threads on the forum. It's glitched, and needs to be maxed, else your strength and dex will go down rather than up.

I've been iffy about these builds ever since Combat Orders came out. CO reliant builds allow you to 'max' everything. However, it's not necessary, and theoretically weakens you in the short term (since we're looking at long term).

My opinion is that the CO reliant build is helpful in second job, but not really in first job.
- First job goes by very quickly, so you could lose out on an attacking skill to max Iron Body. That would make you weaker. If you're funded, your defence will eventually cap so IB won't be needed (after you get Shield Mastery).
- Second job non-CO build essentially requires you to leave Ground Smash at 11. Although I could live with that (having played with Power Strike and Slash Blast for 5 years), others might not. So for them, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take two points out of skills like Booster and Final Attack to increase the output of Ground Smash.
- If you prefer Slash Blast over Ground Smash, just go non-CO reliant.

If you look at it from a different perspective, your first and second job attacking skills are quite worthless. Iron Body is also worthless once you reach the defence cap (and one less buff to cast would be awesome). But you're probably not going to reach the defence cap by the time you max CB and replace GS/PS/SB.

tl-dr version
Doesn't matter. Do whatever, so long it's not stupid.

EDIT: I can't use tl-dr.
