The damage formula is (w. atk / 100) * (primary stat * 4 + secondary stat) * weapon multiplier

I think you're thinking of damage.

(STR + DEX/4)/Total Wattk = STR/Wattk ratio (AKA "how much STR I need to add to get the same damage boost as adding 1 Wattk&quot

10 str = 1 Wattk if you have 999 STR, 4 DEX and only 100 Wattk -> (999 + 4/4) / 100 = 10 Str/Wattk

*EDIT* BTW, Dex DOES affect your damage, it acts like 0,25 STR

*EDIT2* The formula also works for other jobs (just change "STR" and "DEX" for your job's main and secondary stat)

What she said is true. Basically, adding 1 atk is equivalent to adding (total str/total atk) str. For example, say I have 700 str and 100 attack. Adding 1 attack would be the equivalent of adding (700/100) = 7str
