What should I pick as a graduation gift?
Hi guys,
I graduate from high school in less than a month and my father asked me to choose a gift (he just leaves it up to me instead of picking something I may not like). My mother bought me a brand new cellphone three days ago, so that's off the table. I'm not really one for tablets so I don't think I'd like that. But I am a hardcore gamer (keep in mind that I have not played any games in a year due to studies). So gaming/gaming accessories are welcomed. Anything unique is appreciated.

I have three pairs of Skullcandies, one pair of Audio-Technica's and one Beats By Dre Studio (gift). Headphones are NOT a problem. Thanks for the input though.
I told my Dad that I may consider an iPad mini with Retina display.
For someone who is 1) a gamer and 2) presumably about to go to university, the most important thing you need are good closed headphones to block out noise, because there's gonna be a lot of noise. If you have good headphones, you can study anywhere, game anywhere, whatever you want. I used to study in my school cafeteria for easy access to coffee.
Macs are actually aight.
I kind of wish I bought a mac because all of the programs I use work wayyy better on macs than windows.
DAMN YOU VECTORWORKS. Definitely ask for a laptop that will support any potential school things you'll be using.

I was literally just talking with my friend and he said the exact same thing! But my Dad and I have been laptop hunting for almost two months and nothing worthwhile was found. I don't want something as expensive a MacBook for sure. I think it's unnecessary expenses considering I use my console to do my gaming. Funny story, we ordered a HP Envy. It had everything. 12GB RAM, Touchscreen, 2.7 GHz, Intel i7, 1 TB hard drive... the whole works. I suffer from buyers remorse and I told him to return it after seeing that the graphics cards was Intel 4600 ( </3) ,display was rather washed out and had problems, entirely based on speculation. I wish I never had him return it.
