Girls, Enter Workout Thread
Heya!
So, summer time. Time for picnics, beaches, camping and what not!
I kinda assume that majority of girls workout from time to time. I would like to ask what you do to workout?
& if you could please post your daily diet too. Just interested in how you girls stay in shape!
Im not an overweight person, im just average. I workout daily 45 mins- 1 hour following the turbo fire program. I then lift a few weights with certain reps because big muscles on girls looks like crap. & some days where i really eat a lot (went out to starbucks and such) i go on the eliptical for 30mins with high intensity.
I eat within 1200 calories a day, mainly conisiting of 5 fruit snacks & 3 big meals with a balance of protiens/Carbs.

if your a girl jus do squats for a large arse
@bazulcreeper4 I eat healthy so that I don't feel guilty having a drink or two. Healthy lifestyle choices and being able to indulge when you want > dieting for a month or two and never indulging in things you enjoy.
Oh well I dance around 14 hours a week, so the majority of my cardio comes from that
I try my best (it doesn't always work because I have no self control whoops) to not eat any junk food.
If you don't want big muscles, don't lift weights at all. The easiest way to get "toned" muscles is to strengthen using your own body weight (pushups, planks, etc.)
Erm I usually do around 100 crunches a day or try for a 2 minute plank
I also do a lot of pilates exercises for ballet, but that isn't really needed
I roll out my muscles constantly (I don't want them to get bulky)
I run occasionally, but I don't ever have the time to do so. However if I do, it's usually a light jog for an extended period of time. Sprinting will lead to huge quads o.o
For my diet:
I skip breakfast usually since I just don't have the time.
For lunch I usually eat a sandwich or whatever my mom gives me haha.
I eat dinner pretty late considering I don't come home until 8/9 most nights.
Uh I'm 5'2 and around 98 pounds?
I guess it's all a balance between diet and exercise c: Good luck with your goals!
I just eat healthy and keep active. I don't really plan out a daily work out routine, but sometimes go jogging / biking / etc.
@WizzzzPo: Oh, almost forgot about pictures! Thank you!
@hour omg, youre my idol on basil. Can i PM you for more info? i love asking around ..!
The heck o.o
I'm a boy. I don't exercise... I just don't eat very much.
I play DDR, Pump it Up, and ITG pretty much daily and I'm awesome at it.
Diet is mainly low carb, high fat and protein, high caffeine and alcohol unless I go out.
I'm don't really have the need to workout since I'm already so skinny... I usually would do outdoor activities rather than exercising like, playing volleyball, walking my dog, and yard work.
@xStephVee Hi stephhhhhh!
YEAHH i realised ..
turbo fire <3 <3
thanks to ther other posters for the work out/ weight lifting tips/suggestions. Really helps! [a.k.a @WizzzzPo, @Snovvy !]
you two, THANK YOU. <3 <3
Zee
turbo fire <3 <3
but i have to agree with some others here eating only 1200 calories a day is sooo little!
swimming, all day every day!
lol no, actually, i only go in the mornings from 5-7am on mon/wed/sat, and arvo from 4-6pm on tue/fri as a volunteer coach for squads (and or even for beginners!)
of course there are additional meets/training sessions that come from the ais swimming program i am enrolled in currently
@xXSkittl3zz Wow, 1200 calories a day with all those workouts. That's insane for someone whose average weight. If you're cutting weight or if you're increasing your metabolism, try switching around your 3 big meal diet a little; the more times you eat the better it is for your metabolism, so try going for 6 smaller portion meals/snacks throughout the whole day.
@KamikazeDes THANK YOU .. this really helps omg.
hello i am girl
yes i play game
1200 calories a day? It must suck to be a girl.
I think he thought you were eating manufactured fruit snacks, as in gummies.
Sorry, I just feel like I have to say that 'healthy calories' is a rather large misconception, too. You could eat 10 bananas within half a day, which, when viewed subjectively, doesn't seem like all that much. But some bananas can be 120-150 calories each and that's over half to three quarters of some people's daily calorie intakes already. There is no such thing as 'healthy calories'; calories are calories.
I think people think of "healthy calories" as calories you gain from food with good nutritional value. You are right though, calories are calories.

I am not a girl, but have recently drawn up a program for my girlfriend, it consists of squats, clean and press, lunges, bent over rows, db press, pull downs, pull overs and triceps extensions (as well as various core exercises) split over 2 days. Mostly 8-12x3, with increase in weight as soon as 12 reps is achieved on first two sets. No idea why most girls tend to stay away from heavy weights, someone needs to breaks this cycle ignorance.
The only workout I do is in my fingers which is typing this comment. You girls make me look bad My metabolism is already so high that I don't gain weight so I don't bother to work out. I'm probably going to get hella fat when I'm old lol.
@bingbongbor Thanks for the input. Sorry for the ignorance, ive just been following my role model. Shes soo physically fit...but i guess i`ll look into it. I guess its good that its nearly impossible for females to gain huge muscles like men. You're right!
@DontDont what are welches? and yeah 5 snacks, but like maybe 2 fruit split into the 5 snacks. but alright. Eating healthy calories is fine anyways.
@kinshima that's true. Just paranoid.. i know a girl who got all bulky in a year :x its not attractive at all. but yeaah.
@sublimeMan Its not easy at all, its tough. I know what you mean.. i feel bad for men. Its hard on you guys... body building. but i guess the results are worth it. And yeaaaaaah Google ftw, going to research on these compound lifts your talking about.
Well, you say that as if lifting more than a few weights is going to give you huge muscles; it's not that easy.
@xXSkittl3zz: take meal replacements then. you aren't getting enough calories, you might feel fine on 1200 right now, but it will cause your health to decline if you keep it up.
@Wordolio You're right. Although i seem to fit everything i want into 1200 calories more or less. I feel bloated after eating too much.
@LamboRev while running?
I actually like breathing in the warm or hot air. However, if it's humid that's a different story.
1200 calories a day is not enough, even for a 5 foot tall girl.
you need to eat more, trust me. you should be getting close to 2000 calories a day, especially if you're active and workout.
Ooh. Haha , its good you have high metabolism! Okay... jogging must really suck in the hot weather
thank you!
Ya'll are motivating me to work harder haha
I usually jog 1-2 miles a day (depends how lazy I am) then I'll work my abs/back with low weights but high reps. I'll do the same thing the next day except work on my arms, then on the third day I'll do legs/butt. I eat whatever I want though. I'm taking advantage of my super high metabolism while I can
I also have tennis practice on average 1.5 hours a day.
