Here's a quick tip take an Evan, went with one had a 4k range was doing 90ks with Thrust finished in a minute.

Also, one of arans skills in third job makes them worthless in BPQ if they have points on it, they cannot use double/triple swing in BPQ making them completly worthless.

It's better to go at lvl 70 flat. You are not yet nerfed.

Level is generally irrelevant since no matter what your level, inside Balrog PQ your range is reduced to roughly that of a Level 60 character.

You will not be able to solo Balrog without extreme funding due to this. By myself, I can barely take down half of his HP before time runs out; I have difficulty even meeting the damage requirement. Outside of BPQ, my range is about 28k; inside, only a bit more than 900.

@metaghost3 Erm I used buff item's so I had 2.4k range and I was using Iron arrow the whole time so 300% dmg? o_o

@metaghost3 If you have a strong funded character that hits a lot of times, use that character. If not, use one of the over powered jobs and try to solo the PQ.

@metaghost3 It doesn't really matter as long as you can kill it before times up

@Erag0n1 Tip of advice, get some friends to add into your party, but then, you can enter Balrog PQ alone. Learnt it from someone else on basil.

OT: Anything that is third job or higher, that's mainly what it has been for a long time.

Actually, any 3rd & 4th job passive skill works. However, any 3rd & 4th job active and supportive skills are disabled.

Any 3rd job+ skill is disabled, your range is also reduced to about 2/10ths
(Here's some advice from a bpq pro)
Balrog uses reflect when his HP bar hits the M in "Time" once you get to that point only attack on animations (if it's not reflect, reflect looks like he turns all read and a giant flame gear goes around him) when he uses reflect look at the time, in exactly 1 minute he will use it again so stop attacking 5-10 seconds before that
