Myself.
@fradddd: I prefer the sound of open headphones to any closed headphones or IEMs. You might lose out on a tiny bit of detail but that open sound can't be beat.
@aerial now just imagine if you had spent that money on their IEMs! So much detail! Screw headphones.
Headphones. I spent $450 CAD for Sennheiser 600. I use it everyday for 3+ hours. It literally brings goosebumps every time I listen to my favourite music. And it will last me at least 5 years or more since this is my "end-game" headphone. Worth every penny.
omg i never wanna think about buying fridges. i guess i usually pay full price for food.
@neveraddaplayer Xiaomi Pistons may be better than like every sub-$50 IEM in that sound signature, but I like having other sound signatures, and I can get the IEMs that are arguably better than any sub-$100 (including the Pistons).
But yes I'm planning on buying some of those soon anyway. Right now I use:
Sennheiser Momentum IEM
Massdrop/HiFiMAN RE-00
MEElectronics A151
@fradddd: or you could spend $10 on some xiamoi pistons and be >= ev1 els
I SWEAR TO GOD this was on the AskReddit Top Weekly like for a while. Can't find any thread about it now. Whatever.
Computer parts and Boots.
Work boots and music/sound equipment.
better nexon servers
birth control
IEMs (earbuds) within my budget. Like, I could easily spend the $10 on the ones that everyone else seems to get, or I could spend $70 and get some of the best sounding in existence.
Before when I was heavily into anime, I would have probably spent a ton of $$$ on anime gear (but didn't have a job or money back then otherwise my room would be overflowing with anime related merchandise). Now I'm mainly into gaming and I spend top dollar on gaming gear. Got myself a new graphics card this year (GTX 1070), recently upgraded to an awesome keyboard: Corsair Gaming K70 RGB mechanical keyboard with cherry MX switches, planning to save up and upgrade to a 34 inch ultrawide 1440p monitor soon for that immersive gaming experience.
coffee grinder. you can't cheap out if you brew pour over
@stoker why do you need a gaming mouse, everyone knows all u play is maple
Badminton racket.

Socks & underwear
Cymbals and bass drum pedals
my vape rig always need something to suck back on late at night
Can't quite say I've ever paid top dollar for anything too expensive, but usually I'll spend more money on a gaming system or phone above anything else.
Also I paid $2000 on a watch one (Breitling Avenger II Seawolf), eventually sold it after I wore it from time to time for a few months for $2100, so even after shipping and paypal fees I more than broke even.
Besides that I usually stay more towards $300 or so on great fakes (because I like the ones that would be thousands new or even good condition used if they were genuine, and I'm far from having the money for that)
@xylyls hey im just sayin
Steak...product by cow.

@fradddd: because this question couldn't come from anywhere OTHER than askreddit. i don't get ideas, yet alone browse askreddit.
condoms
sounds like an askreddit question. in fact, i think you've posted quite a few threads that sound exactly like askreddit questions
anyway yeah, my phone, which is one of the most expensive things I've ever purchased, but it's still relatively cheap (OnePlus One).
also, some foods
also, things where paying "top dollar" is still paying less than $20
