@BobR: except if the ocean dies, there would be lots of algae which would mean we have more oxygen.

You mean you don't breathe..?
Do you have any idea where most of the oxygen on the planet comes from..?

Hint: The oceans.

Fish would disappear from our food supply causing famine, things like algae would multiply uncontrollably if only the top tier of the ecosystem disappeared, land animals that relied on eating fish would go extinct, we would no longer be able to manufacture things like ice cream and toothpaste if seaweed was affected, and we wouldn't have to worry about sharks and stepping on sting rays at the beach.

The seafood will be gone from the food chain resulting in a huge impact to the human diet and the economy of the world as well as many other creatures that rely on the marine environment as a major food source will lose there food source and die and those that eat the ones who eat the seafood will die because of there being no more food and soon us humans will run out of food because of there being no more wildlife to eat off of and the wildlife would adapt and eat most of out vegetation, thus, ending life as we know it
Or we just run out of water and die

Fish are big part of our food supply. Therefore we have to protect the marine ecosystems.
It is just a big part of the food chain, if something is disrupted, there will be many species that will be affected by it.
