1)since 2011 or sumthing (am i noob cus i havnt played for a long time?)
quit for the summer when renegades came, needless to say i came back quite quickly
quit again 2 months before red, then came for for red, quit right after it
came back for sao, quit at end of october
came back cus of people talking to me on league (also came back with some friends)
now im still playing
2)$350~$400 i cry a little everytime i see my stack of nx cards its like 10 cm tall
3)bout an hour, (give or take a lil) depending on events and bossing a lil grinding occasionally

1) Played since the Pirates Patch in 2008.
2) Honestly, around ~$1,500. 2010-2012 was really bad.
3) Not anymore. Maybe like, an hour a week. Everytime I log on I get bored and move onto other things. All of my Maple friends are on skype and I have other things in the real world to keep me busy (School, Work, Friends, etc etc).

1) I've been playing for about 9 years. Since version 0.21. When Khaini was a brand new server and Ludi came out.
Fourth job didn't existed back then. Tiger, Suuushi, Vietxhue, KhainPriest were the top players.
I should be rich in-game now (meso and NX) but I took too many long breaks. And didn't played seriously back then (School).
I came back again because I liked the new Zero class and wanted to try it.

2) I've spent less than 200 dollars.

3) Right now, a few hours daily.

Spent $30 max. Earned a few mesos Atleast 1000b no more than 2100b
Played more than 15000+ hours.

Played since 05. On and off since. Got hacked. Etc.

I used to grind for hours upon hours. Now it's just bossing and hanging out/afk.

Idk how much i've spent on this game.

Played for around 5-6 years or so, and spent about 75$ on the game.
I play.. all day. On two computers at once. Sometimes nonstop for a few days at a time during holidays.

I'm a believer of full productivity, so I make sure that I'm always getting better in the game in some aspect each and everyday.
Social aspects of the game, the frequent updates, the fun/strange memories that I've experienced in the past, etc. keep me going strong everyday.
With a few months of break of course.
Maplestory is a unique game, one of a kind. A game that is similar to others, but unlike any other.
I have had some of the best memories shared with amazing people on this game, and I don't think I can find that kind of content anywhere else.

I've noticed a lot of "Returning after X years" threads. I guess for lots of people it's on and off.

Probably over 4k in the entirety of my time playing, that temp NX was expensive yo, and so were those EXP hair coupons. Anyone who spends money on this game as an "investment" is delusional, why you would play a game for any other reason than entertainment is beyond me. Never seen it as investment, never will.
I log on to do dailies and then afk or log off, because class work load is so high right now.

I've played this game since 2007, taking around two 1 year breaks in between.
I spent around $500 in one summer in 2011 on my main account a DK - wasted a lot of money considering I blew up most of the items that I spent $$ on (my 130 atk maple karstan/a 97atk unique skanda). Two different accounts. I was literally addicted, charging nx until I spent everything in my bank account. Parents later found out, super disappointed in the way i handled my money. I was ashamed and quit the game, deleting my 140 dk and my 132 dexless sin.

Came back in 2014 summer, had nothing to do, Re-installed and now play on my Aran that I had on a mule account. (I think it was leveled from a familiar glitch/hack way back then). Started funding myself through the game, currently spent around $75 over 7 months (mostly cuz miracle time), did smarter things in general.

I play around 30 min a day now because of classes, in the summer I did 2-3 hours per day..

Lots of hours, played back in 06 quit started playing again in 2010. Spent around $2k since then. I play around 1-4 hours depending if im grinding or just doing dailies.

Spent well over $1000. I quit.

Played this game for a long time (2009) Been off and on lately, but first 3 years or so I played till i broke
Spent quite a lot of money, more than $800
Now i go on for like 20mins? a week, sometimes for 4hours

Been playing on and off, spent thousands of hours, good memories and bad memories.

Nostalgia, just remembering the good things about the game. No motivation to train (feels like it takes too long to grind, boring, not afk'able).

i've quit countless times, but i've been playing fairly consistently the past 2 years..although i did take like a few months of barely logging in break in that time. i reckon i've spent a cumulative 700-800 on maple. don't really regret it since it's part of my childhood and while you can always make more money, you can't bring back the past
nowadays during winter break, i play in total 2-3 hours a day, and afk the rest of the day lol. i just do gollux or something when school starts..which is in 2 days

What would you guys say keeps you playing? Or on the other hand, what has made you stop?

Like maybe $0? Started a while back when Pirate came out (was that 2007?), and took a 1 year hiatus during that time and came back. I don't see the point in investing in pixels.

Begun just a few weeks/or months before the Pirates came out (2008). Been playing on and off.

I do not enjoy the game anymore, the pay to win aspect is just disgusting and the hours of grinding just doesn't suit my style. I was playing both Runescape and MS at the time and although Runescape has a lot of grinding, it's more afk'able.

$30k+, cos u kno, i want 2 be famuz and g0dli like the other pplz. <3
