And for shiggles, lets just say your main was an ArchMage/BaM/Evan that u already had the staff and didn't want or have the funds to spend on a new one.
@xProHeal A way to bypass this is by using an anvil on your ele staff. I'm not too sure but I did get a huge decrease when I anvilled my staff with an ele staff. So you can possibly remove the element through anvils.
ur range may increase but ur total damage can still be lower than before. i did less dmg using an 225matk ele than a 170matk neutral thats how much it hurts; i dont think its worth it since the penalty cripples ur dmg a lot. </3

Honestly, during the time when empress was the go to set, I used to see bishops use godly ele staves and still be on par with bishops who went full empress. So I guess a godly ele staff can still be a viable option depending on what the bishop is doing and how godly said staff is scrolled. As for your other question, if my bishop wasn't my main and my fp (or something else you listed) was my main, I wouldn't waste my time getting a staff just for my bishop, and instead I would just share my ele staff since it's tradeable.

All bishop attacks (except for Heaven's door) have the Holy Element.
All Elemental staves/wands increase your damage when you attack with a synchronized element, and decrease when you attack with an unmatching element.
Because there are no Holy elemental weapons, no matter which elemental weapon you pick, it won't match, and as such you will always get a decrease in your damage.
@shark: there's no evidence of this either from testers or from a previous nexon patch note.
Yes, and by 25% which is why it's recommended that u don't even mess with elemental staves. Besides, there are good staves out there that have higher stats and don't come with these costs.
I have done some searching around on this topic... and i don't think it matters anymore. I believe that Nexon has removed the inherent effects of the ele wands. As in. the ice one not giving any bonuses to ice skills or decreasing your other skills.
I can confirm that the damage penalty exists as of the Tynerum update, and there has been no evidence that it has changed since

We do not need ele staffs, they do not increase our damage, they rather decrease our damage by a lot actually.
I don't care about elemental reset since we got a revamp, but they could make a decent ER neb at least XD.
Yes it will - There currently (And probably won't ever be) aren't any holy elemental staves. Maybe you guys'll get Ele decrease later.
