I had this problem as well.
Create a shortcut for MapleStory.exe (not GameLauncher.exe), then right click the shortcut and click Properties. In the Shortcut tab where it says Target, add a space at the end and type GameLaunching, then hit OK. This will make the game launch like it normally would if you were using GameLauncher. It worked for me, at least.

Try reinstalling and use website launcher.
