so can anyone link me to a dk guild then? thanks
EDIT: whoops didn't see link above
@darkspawn980: LOL you took the words right outta my mouth. Yay guides!
@YuisMine: Well, you ought to learn more about the class forum you're looking into next time C: We direct everyone to the guides because it's all of the regulars' efforts compiled into one, supermassive blob of useful-ness. Regulars = Experience OVARLOAD it's not even funny. Which is serious.
On topic: Any warrior weapon is equippable, as are str daggers(with te amount of dex required, of course). Polearms are generally favored over spears, however as the 69 god said, both weapons' slash/stab motions are obsolete(Yay big words!). PAs are favored only because of the buster glitch which makes buster w/ a polearm a frame faster. Additionally, arcglaives are PAs.
I just like skis. *Points to DK and her smexy pair of skis*
OH YEAH AND DUNKILLMEPLS FOR SWAPPING MY CHAR AROUND D<
Lol i was thinking of getting an arcglaive, but i keep being outbidded
HELL NO! dks can't use polearms!
(then, started to shake my hellslayer on your face)
yeah, Arans FTW..
Though... Guides = Experience, especially since the person that made it on basil is pretty well-known.
By the way, any warrior class can hold any weapon under the warrior section
Should you use a Pole arm or spear? Depends, specificity rules over a whole section of items.
Well known DrK weapon's are like... Arcglaive, Sky skii, Machlear, VIP spear/pole arm, Reverse spear/pole arm and maybe a Purple surfboard.
So those are the [I most likely think] used weapon's for DrK's.
For the earlier level's (since they changed it Post-BB) any weapon will suffice, spear or pole arm. Best to grab those Normal speed maple weapons now though.
i lol'd at the machlear, but besides that, this is pretty right.
and people with experience MAKE the guides, they help you grasp the basics, and wether we can or can not use a weapon... can't get more basic than that.
EDIT:
here, taken DIRECTLY from the guide:
Alright, so this section will be short and sweet. After the big bang, there is no difference between spears and pole arms. Use whichever you want. I will say that pole arms are often better because of surfboards, and the purple surfboard, if you can find one, is easily the best end-game weapons. Just note that you no longer have to commit to one or the other. Spearmen can use both, and mastery, booster, fury, and crusher for either a spear and a PA and it will be the exact same result.
If you're still confused, try reading this quote from cookie4mesos, he goes into a little more depth on whether to use a spear or a pole arm:
cookie4mesos: On Spears vs Polearms, "specialty" weapons, like surf and snow boards, and the like, generally favor Polearms. However, if you cannot obtain those, the "generic" weapons (basically the stuff you can buy from NPCs, at earlier levels, or make with Maker, at later levels) favor spears. To expand on this, usually at the same level, each usually have the same, or at least very close, attack. However, specialty Polearms are usually faster, and likewise for generic spears.
doesn't that answer EXACTLY what you asked?

I didn't think a guide would help me. i wanted people's opinions, and experiences with different weapons. Experience tells more then guides.
Someone needs to add a blurb about the polearm glitch in there.
screw that, basics first, unless she wants to go dagger spearman f3
dear lord, guides, please use the guides! thy are there to guide you!
We can wield polearms. Heroes can wield them too.
