Building up funding

Lets start off with the fact I've been playing multiple characters since a while, making a new one everytime a new job comes out/new event starts.
Sometimes I really do not like the character and abandon it early on. (Cases: Mihile, Angelic Buster, Hayato and Kanna(?), Demon Avenger, Jett...(We do not speak of this disaster))
Do note I have never gotten the chance to make a Zero because I missed the time frames.

I've been trying to find the character/class next to Mercedes/Phantom that I can use to build my fundings up from(I do not merch) and get the Mercedes/Phantom rolling.
But I don't want to play the Mercedes alone. As you can see I'm using my Xenon as my basil character. Yes, I enjoyed playing as the class but one day, I just couldn't bother with leveling her. Might want to play later. However, the newest class.. I've been liking it. I've always liked pirates, but never actually bothered getting one at a decent level. My shade is currently at 120. I'm taking it slow, kind of. However, I'm mainly wondering if I should use him as a character to start building on.
I had some pirate equipment scattered across some characters that weren't meant for my Xenon, mainly knuckles, so about weapons I shouldn't be worrying about for a little while

If it was too long(seriously?); Should I build up fundings with Shade?

@YummiShumi:
Then put yourself out there. You're basically saying "I can't do it so i'm not going to try" Search the fm and see what prices items generally sell at. What is overpriced and what isnt.
I'd say don't bother funding the class at all. Let's face it. You're just going to quit it in a month. That's the type of person you sound like from your posts. You need to settle on a class and you seem incapable of doing so. You need to merch a bit or sell a bunch of nx and you seem incapable of doing the former, idk about the latter. How do you expect to even fund, much less not regret sticking to shade? I know this sounds mean but I feel advice would fall on deaf ears with you unless you're willing to main ONE character and willing to merch to fund.
I am willing to main ONE character. And I guess you've missed a reason why I refrain from merching. I'm absolutely terrible with prices. No matter what. I have no other people to rely on for correct pricing and more. I'm a generally insecure person, and people will abuse me for that. There's more reasons why I still have almost no hope for my Mercedes and those are purely personal reasons. If I were to quit, it would be because I barely have anyone to communicate with.

... Wind Archer is a class I never liked. There's only two archers for me. BowMaster and Mercedes. No more room for others.
Even though my BowMaster is eating dust.

@Chup:
I'm well aware. I will use the coins not for my Shade but for my Mercedes. Though boxes are a pain to keep on opening.

@YummiShumi: Okay, but I'm just trying to warn you/help you. It'll be hard to make mesos without selling stuff from events or merching. There aren't very many profitable bosses, and the ones that are, you need very high range to do.

If you like shades go on with it, but if you want to fund it you will need a lot of money, I request making a windarcher because bowmen equips are extremely cheap compared to the other classes. Take advantage of the events right now if you want to fund your shade, but I'd recommend wind archer.

@Chup:
Because, due terrible experiences on doing it with my Mercedes(I.E blowing something up 10 times), I currently do not have a set main. I claim my Mercedes to be, however, he isn't really in a too well position. I'm focusing on another character for 1. getting a stable character to rely on to make money, 2. To increase the Blessing of the Fairy, 3. Get a good linkskill for him. Besides, the ice boxes Chaos Scrolls are not trade-able. And doing hunting/searching events is difficult to do on the character I consider my main.

@YummiShumi: How do you plan to build funding with a Shade? You said you wanted to fund a Mercedes/Phantom. Just go ahead and start one right now and start funding it through the events. You'll use the same methods to fund each character, so why do you need your Shade? If you really like your Shade, play it! And if you have some equips for it, use them. As you said, you're chaosing emp. You're funding a Shade (or at least using resources/potential mesos) to fund another character when you could just be funding your "main."
It doesn't matter which class you choose. You won't be able to build up fundings if you don't already have fundings, without merching, bc you won't be able to kill the profitable bosses (Empress/Magnus/cRA).
I see funding as having more than 2bil to spend on one character. I technically do have a small bit of money for funding (750m), however, I am a dutch cheapskate who rather keeps the money above a certain amount. Given I'm a terrible sales person and generally insecure with selling stuff, I tend to cling onto stuff too long and lower possible profits. I started the character with a couple of aniversary knuckles. From the 1st tier to the 3rd one. Currently on the way to start using one of my hoarded fearless knuckles. Yeah, I'm using fearless. Might not be the best thing in the world but its something. I have about three pieces of Empress equipment laying ready and I'm chaosing them with the scrolls I get from the boxes.

I am well aware. Prices tend to go up whenever there's a new class coming up. However, I somehow managed to gather up some decent equipment before the class was even announced/known. I'll see where Shade will bring me. Beast tamer was a disaster to my money
