The designs won't be an issue, besides the use of CG gondolas iirc. TYO is animating Avvenire as well, and the same character designer for the previous seasons is coming back.
The director hasn't changed, which is good, because only he can direct this type of show. There have been very little definitive details (besides the cast, and that it's an OVA) about the production.

The only issue with the cast would be casting Athena, but it seems like they're just going to recycle some lines from the previous seasons, as she is still credited as the VA for Athena.

The important question is how they will integrate this new OVA with Origination, since that already covered the end of the manga.
I hope it's not anime-original content. If they're going to reuse Athena's voice, they might do a recap (in flashback) of missed chapters, which would be alright.
