Nope, small-fry business. Trolling, spamming every thread Mrbasil posts in (thus bumping them, that's actually useful to him) and sharing hacks via PM. Basically passive and active resistance at the same time. They call themselves the Anti Basil Squad. Their purpose is to "destroy and humiliate all Basilnmarket members, mods and their leader ..MrBasil!" They also give out (supposedly) their BasilIDs. I wonder if they're really going to get started or if this thread is their troll. Either way, I'm amused already. XD

Looking over the current results, it seems like Basilers would rather see old features back (Profil3 tab, custom avatars, you know) than added aesthetics.

Ultimately MrBasil and the moderators are in this together so I assumed the question to be directed at the staff as a whole. That's how I answered it in any case. But I know what I am and ain't responsible for, so whatever the outcome will be, I won't take it personal(ly?).

The one's whose questions ask about relationship status and favorite [i]EVERYTHING[/i] while ignoring meaningful questions that could provide a bit of insight on how the userbase thanks of the forum as a whole.

@TrampMonkey: I have a feeling the reason may possibly be about his issues with trust considering the events of the Security team in the past.
@Davyn: I actually know the reason this will probably never happen, but I don't know if I'm allowed to say so I'll keep my mouth shut. We mods are actually in the worst position on Basil considering we don't get much say in how the site is run and considering users blame us for an awful lot of things.

There's a word I've been trying to think of that defines Mr. Basil and his policies quite well, however I haven't been able to find it. It's on the tip of my tongue though!
What I would love is for the B himself to make a thread in Site or a sticky on the front page asking the user base exactly what we think needs to be changed on the forums and then decide how to play from there. That way we can actually voice our opinions to someone that can do something about it (since again it doesn't sound to me like the mods have much pull in the way things are run around here -- you're the police, he's the police chief).

I'm confident even without anonymity most users would be glad to speak their mind on the current administration. After all, you can't suspend for a non-assaulting opinion.
The problem is the lack of people with power to listen (see: Mr. Basil). I've spoken with quite a few mods in the past few months and most if not all have agreed that the rules, along with the filter, are too strict in some areas as well as many features that need to be brought back to the site. Unfortunately even their words have fallen upon deaf ears since Mr. Basil is such a hard-ass on his policies.

@TrampMonkey: I thought it was generally agreed upon by the community that Mr.Basil never logs into Basil and that the rules, although significantly better than what they were years ago, are still too strict for a mostly-teenager population.
if you mods care about it, I can just add another census for rules/admin/mods.

I was in the latest batch of mods including DrHye and BobR. I used to be active in the Thief/Pirate forums, but now I usually stick to Chat/Site. I was never much of an active poster so not many people know me.

Hmm, I'm actually curious as to how well a census with a bit more focus on mods/mrbasil would go. I'd love to see what people think of the administration, moderation team, and rules. Of course, people would have to cooperate and be honest (AND MATURE) about their replies, but I don't see how it wouldn't help us in our job.
